Kimchi Jigae

Anyong-haseyo, I’m so sorry if my K-POP fever irritates you but I’m super into K pop, so much that I wish I can teleport myself there NOW!

I have been craving to have Korean BBQ ever since I started watching Running man, especially when they play eating games. I will whatsapp Jo and say “Darling, Korean BBQ tonight.” We will normally go to the Korean BBQ in Ampang aka lil Korea because the price is more reasonable and their dishes are fresher.

So as usual, I was craving for Korean food last week and JO was like, “Why not I make us a little Korean night at home?” I was like  “OMG, awesome!”

We used to do that when we were in the States, we will make our own Korean bbq once a while with frens or just the two of us. I guess my K pop fever started a long long time ago ==”

This is how our little Korean night back in the States looked like. One of my frens taught me to how to cook Korean spicy rice cake and this is how it looks like… Not too bad right? ==”

Back to what happend last night, so I was craving to have Korean bbq and Jo suggested we should do it at home…

Jo bought most of the ingredients from Hartamas the day before but we still lacked a few things so we went to the market straight after work and bought everything that we needed then headed home to prepare!!

This is Jo doing all the marinating, cutting, cleaning and etc… He insisted that he wants to cook everything so I just stood there and stoned ==”

Then I went to do laundry and ironed all the clothes ==” Life without a maid, yea tell me about it….

The perfectly cut tofu and spring onion… I always complain that Jo has OCD ==”

He found this kim chi jigae soup recipe online and it was damn awesome!!

Instead of setting up a grill on the table we decided to just do it on the stove to save all the time cleaning up haha.

Wala, our dinner for the day! BBQ pork belly, marinated pork belly and kim chi jigae! Everything was done and prepared by Jo =) Im super lucky and he is super lucky that I ironed and wash his clothes too hahahahaha
