    Sponsored Post

So finally we have completed our Pedigree 30 Days Challenge with our Nacho boy, and I can definitely say that not only Jo and I, but our babyboy as well, had lots of fun and learned many new tricks and activities through this challenge!

    DSC02342

Probably our favorite activity with him so far is the “cup game challenge” where we put a DentaStix into an upside-down cup, and switching places with two other empty cups.

    DSC02349

Then, we let him sniff the cups to find the DentaStix! The first time we played, babyboy just sat there, waiting for us to give him his favorite DentaStix but after some encouragement he will now actively look for it!

    DSC00224

After feeding him Pedigree DentaStix for the last 30 days, I can tell you that his oral health has improved tremendously, no doubt thanks to the unique X-shaped treats, which have been clinically proven to reduce tartar build-up by to 80% and also 2 active ingredients in the DentaStix, sodium tripolyphosphate and zinc sulphate that eases plaque removal.

His teeth and gum lines are markedly cleaner and his breath smells like he has been brushed everyday!

I used to avoid letting him kiss or lick me but not anymore!

    DSC02343

We also love all the attention we’ve been getting from him ‘cause he’s constantly expecting us to play a game with him and feed him his DentaStix. Yes, if you’ve read my last post, he is still constantly following us around.

Oh, Pedigree is running a Closer Cuddles content on their facebook page here!

All you need to do is just to take a picture with your dog (show them how much you love your dog!) and complete the given slogan in the most creative way to win. Contest starts on 16th June until 11th July 2016, so hurry up! P/S: Each contest starts on Wednesday and ends on the following Monday!

  • PEDIGREE DENTASTIX – Hide-And-Seek

Hi everyone! My furryboy and I are nearing the end of our 30 Days DentaStix Challenge so let me update you guys on our progress thus far.

There are two areas that have seen the most noticeable changes, which are his oral health, and also his attentiveness towards Jo and me. Having fed him Pedigree Daily DentaStix for almost 30 days now, I can tell you that his breath smells like he just had his teeth brushed! Yes! Like I mentioned in my previous post, the fishyness in his breath due to his salmon diet is gone, and this will last till the next meal time, obviously, hahaha.

His teeth and gums are also much cleaner due to daily chewing on the unique X-shaped treats, which are clinically proven to reduce tartar build-up by to 80%! 2 active ingredients in the DentaStix, sodium tripolyphosphate and zinc sulphate also eases plaque removal when its time to clean his teeth.

    DSC02321

Look at his super white teeth! We took this picture when we were playing a new game with him, and this is also one way to incorporate using the DentaStix in his daily feeding.

    DSC02316

It’s basically hide-and-seek and we hid the DentaStix somewhere in the house, and he has to find it. First I showed him the DentaStix to pique his interest, then Jo took him into the room.

    DSC02323

Didn’t even take long, cause once Jo let him out, he ran straight for the couch and started sniffing under the pillows. Found it straight away, but next time I will make it more difficult by hiding it in a drawer.

This is a fun and also rewarding game for him!

Another area where we noticed a big change is his attentiveness and generally become very clingy or attached to us! Nowadays he will follow us around the house, non-stop, and I really mean follow us around anywhere!

    DSC02314

    When I’m getting breakfast.

    DSC02315

    When I’m brushing my teeth.

    DSC02320

When I walk into the room to change.

    DSC02319

When I’m getting a drink. Hahaha, we’re not really used to all the attention he is giving us, but it is a lot of fun to play around with him. We might sometimes trick him by quickly running into the room and see how fast he comes.

I think constantly challenging and varying the times of feeding him his DentaStix has brought this change which also improved his oral health as well and I really need to thank Pedigree for bringing our boy much closer to us now.

For all of you dog lovers join me and take up the 30 Days Challenge to improve your dog’s health too!

  • PEDIGREE DENTASTIX – Baby Mode

    Sponsored Post

My furryboy Nacho and I are now in the second week of our Pedigree 30 Days DentaStix Challenge I thought I would update you guys on how he is taking to learning new challenges and tasks, and also his oral health!

    DSC02295

One obvious area of improvement is his breath and oral health. Usually, we do not brush his teeth frequent enough, so his breath usually smells like a fish market, thanks to his salmon diet.

Pedigree Daily DentaStix contains two active ingredients, sodium tripolyphosphate, and zinc sulphate that eases plaque removal and I can start to see improvements in the cleanliness of his teeth.

This makes for more cuddling and kisses for my babyboy and he has definitely noticed this too! He’s much more responsive when I call him over on the couch for cuddles. Before this, he ignores me half the time…

    DSC02303

Nacho has also been more responsive when I try to teach him new tricks or do challenges with him, and his attention span is much longer.

He also responds to my calls much more eagerly, probably expecting his Daily DentaStix, and I’ve also learned that by giving him his DentaStix at different times everyday, he will be much more responsive throughout the day!! Haha, another tip for you guys who are trying to train your dogs!

    DSC02300

Also for this weeks challenge, I’ve been working with him on two specific tasks that aim to train his patience and attention!

Here I’m teaching him to sit on my lap like a little baby, and after multiple attempts, he can now do this for about 10 whole minutes!!!

    DSC02305

The second challenge is for him to learn to hug me, just like a baby! I’ve tried this previously but he always try to jump out of my arms. Now I can even have him hang on to me like a koala and I can remove my arms! Haha, super cute la.

That’s it for this week’s update, so stay tuned for more OK!

  • PEDIGREE DENTASTIX – Sit & Shake

    Sponsored Post

I’m sure many of you have noticed that I always mention my babyboy or furryboy in my social media updates and I’ve even received many questions regarding my dog. I just realized that I’ve never really properly introduced him before so this post is going to focus on my little boy!

    6

Here he is, his name is Nacho but we usually call him by his other nicknames such as “bee” or “B-boy” or “bambi” which are all short for babyboy. He officially turned 9 years old this past April and he is a Yorkie-poodle (Yorkiepoo) mix. He started living with us when he was tiny and only 6 months old so it’s been 8 and a half years now! So many wonderful memories, OMG. We got him when we were studying in Michigan, USA, and brought him back to Malaysia a few years ago.

    2

We actually took this pic on his 9th birthday!

    5

This is his favorite lion-toy which I’ve actually sewed back together. When he was a pup, he used to destroy every new toy we buy him, so thank god he’s settled down now.

    1

Favorite pass-times include lounging on our pillows, sun tanning, and playing.

    4

Not to mention lots of napping too. What to do, my babyboy is actually very old now…

Anyway, it’s been the best 9 years ever and we have a lot of cute and funny memories together, seeing him grow up and also enjoying his companionship throughout all these years!

The main challenges with him are generally related to caring for his health, hair, and also dental health. Being a thick-coated dog, he is very susceptible to skin problems so we have to make sure he’s constantly dry, as well as his ears too.

The hardest part is probably brushing his teeth as he really doesn’t enjoy it at all and usually Jo has to be very strict in controlling him when brushing his teeth.

Recently I’ve noticed more plaque build up in his teeth and fearing that we might need to bring him for scaling, I started looking up for alternative options.

    DSC01343

This is where Pedigree Daily Dentastix have really come to our rescue! They believe in making the world a better place for all dogs, so it’s perfect!

    DSC01359

The patented X-shaped chewy textured treats are to help the cleaning between teeth and gum line. Now my dog can benefit from a fresher breath and better oral health too.

    DSC01341

My boy was already very curious about them as soon as I brought them home!

    DSC01347

And, he loves them! Look at him licking his lips and drooling here.

We have now embarked on the Dentastix 30 Days Challenge to improve his oral health, so I’ve also took up this opportunity to try and teach him some new tricks and challenges!

I thought I’d start with reinforcing some basic tricks with him first cause I was worried he might have forgotten what he learned in the past, haha. Babyboy is getting old you see!

    DSC01351

Sitting and waiting for his yummy treat, success.

    DSC01356

And also giving me his hand to shake, also a success!

    DSC01360

He was very upset when I kept the Dentastix away so I knew he would have no problem paying attention the next time I try to teach him something new!

I will continue to do more and more tricks with him while giving him a Dentastix daily, so please stay tuned for more updates on his skills and also his oral health!

  • Im so bored that Im going to blog about my commencement

just like what the title says…

When I was looking through my pictures from 2009, I realized that I’ve never blogged about my commencement.

    So WHY NOT?

I really wanted to show you all the pictures but it will take forever to upload them.

Looking at pictures I took back in the States makes me want to go back in time so bad.

Back then my hair was really healthy and dark, my skin was really fair and flawless. Not to mention, to be able to stay in the States for 3 years was pretty much the best part of my life. Thank you, daddy.

Long story short, I actually graduated in the class of 2010 not 2009. I chose to have my commencement earlier because I wanted it during the winter and would be a very memorable moment.

If you ask me what you like most about Kalamazoo, I would answer THE SNOW.

I bet you cant have this type of graduation ceremony in Malaysia ya!!!
