#BoboInSapporo Pt.1

Hey everyone! I’m finally back with a post and I’m sorry it’s taken me so long!! The last 2 months were very busy for me as Xmas, New Year, and Chinese New Year celebrations were all jam packed closely together. I simply didn’t have much time to edit and upload all my pics from my Hokkaido trip, let alone blog about it.

Anyway, back to my Hokkaido trip! We went to Hokkaido in early December 2016 cause we didnt want to go when it was too cold, and we didnt plan on going skiing, so it was the best time for us. It even snowed on our last few days, so we basically checked off everything from our to-do/to-see list! Haha

We landed in Chitose Airport at 8pm and decided to have a quick dinner there before taking the express train into Sapporo. If you visit Sapporo, Ebisoba Ichigen’s shrimp ramen is something you MUST try because it’s unique to this area. There is an outlet at Chitose airport so it’s super convenient too!

We were going to spend our 5 nights in Sapporo in Mercure Hotel Sapporo. The hotel’s location is super convenient, right next to a subway station and underground passageway that you can walk all the way to Sapporo Station!

Spacious bathroom unlike most hotels that I’ve encountered in Japan so far!

I loved, loved, loved the range of hair and body wash that they provided as it made my hair super silky smooth after a shower! I later learned how expensive they were when I tried to purchase some elsewhere…DSC03301

Handy make-up spot with a great view of the Sapporo clock tower outside!

The next morning, we took the subway to the Sapporo Wholesale Central Curb Market to have brunch!DSC03324DSC03323DSC03330DSC03342

All the seafood were super fresh but sadly I couldnt buy any crabs to bring back home cause the salesperson said they could only pack them to last a 4 hour journey.

We entered a random restaurant and unsurprisingly the seafood was super fresh and yummy, not to mention the portion very generous!

After brunch we bought a few slices of rock melon for dessert and they were super sweet and intense!

After brunch we took the subway back over to Odori park to check out the local attractions and saw that the Xmas lights so we decided to come back later at night!

After sightseeing we went shopping at Stellar Place and then decided to have dinner there since we were quite tired. The grilled pork rice bowl at Tokachi Butadon Ippin was super yummy on a cold winter night and even better when paired with the fresh local Sapporo beer!

After dinner we walked back over to Odori Park via the underground walkway to see the Xmas lights! So pretty!
