Something About My Scalp

I always wonder how damaged my scalp is because I just cant stop changing my hair color every month! Hahaha, to be honest, I think I look pretty fierce and ugly with my black hair because my original hair color is really dark and black. It’s not like brown or dark brown, it’s really black! Anyway, to my surprise my scalp is actually quite healthy, thank god! Let me tell you how I found out my scalp is healthy, OK!

I wont explain about DrX because everyone should know about them by now if you’ve been following my blog =)

So, remember, I went to Singapore with my girls last month for our little girl’s trip? I managed to take a little bit of time off to visit DrX in Singapore that is located on Orchard Road! This time I visited DrX Medispa, and it’s basically a specialized place for Aesthetics (face) and Trichology (hair and scalp)!

1This is how DrX Medispa looks like! The minute I walked into the clinic, I felt very assured and relaxed. The lighting and interior color is totally different from DrX because they wanted to give us a relaxing, spa like feel.

2

After filling out the registration form and questionnaire, they led me to a room for consultation. The Trichology specialist took a picture of my scalp and hair and she told me that I have a little hair loss at the center. It should be due to stress or keeping my parting at the same area for too long hahaha. It’s really hard for me to change my hair parting because I’m already used to it ==”

The next part is quite disgusting so I strongly recommend you not to eat while reading hahah.

3 A super close up look of my scalp. My scalp is considered clean and close to zero dandruff, which made me really happy to hear! She says whatever routine I’m doing with my hair is good so I can keep using the same shampoo and conditioner. If you look closely, you can see that I only have around 2 strands of hair growing out from a single hair follicle which is not good, usually we should have more than 2 so that we wont encounter hair loss. The specialist told me that my problem is might be due to blockage of my hair pores.

4 After the consultation, they suggested me to do a ‘Low Level Laser Theraphy’ and purifying treatment! It will help to clean up my scalp and also open up the pores on my scalp so that my hair will grow more! Their treatment room looks exactly like a salon, just that they don’t cut or style ur hair hahaha

5After cleaning my hair, the therapist applied a nourishing serum all over my scalp. The therapist was super cute ‘cause he will always pause whenever I’m trying to take picture of what he is doing. Hahaha

6 This is me with nourishing serum all over my hair hahaha

7Then, the therapist wrapped my hair with this huge “shower cap” hahahahaa. It’s called a “control treatment” which helps to eliminate bacteria, relieve irritation and inflammation, control excessive hair loss or dandruff. I was literally sweating throughout the process because it’s pretty hot hahaha.

8Once it’s done, the therapist washed and dried my hair partly, then proceeded with a “regrowth” treatment which helps to prevent premature hair loss, while slowing down and preventing the exacerbation of affected hair cycles! Again, he paused and posed for my camera hahahhaa.

9Last but not least, THE ALIEN HAND hahahaha it looks like a robotic alien hand right?? This is the Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT). Let me try and explain in a very simple manner, it basically uses laser light to hair growth after the purifying treatment has open up all the hair follicle  so it can grow more hair!!

10The whole process took me around an hour and it’s worth the time!

11 The end result of my hair pores after the treatment, and look, they opened up a lot!! I was super surprised when I saw this picture!! Who knew that the results would have been so effective in such a short time!

12I got these 2 hair product for my scalp condition. Deep cleansing shampoo which is super minty and Active treatment mask ( use weekly) to reduce hair loss and give long lasting volume!

The only downside about DrX medispa Tricho is that they only have it in Singapore boooooooooooo hahaha so if you happen to drop by SG for holiday or whatever do call them in advance to make an appointment with them to pamper your scalp a little! Most of us always remember to take good care of our face but keep forgetting we have to do the same to our hair too.

Finally, a little tip from DrX, we should wash our hair twice with shampoo to best keep our hair clean and healthy. The reason is because when you wash ur hair once with shampoo, all the dirt and dandruff will still trapped in the foam/shampoo so no matter how hard or how long u massage, you still cant fully wash the dirt away. If you wash it twice with shampoo, the first time is like a pre cleaning then the second wash is considered as the proper cleaning!!

Dandruff is dry scalp, persoanlly, I fought it from the inside and out. I input more healthy oils in my diet like olive oil and coconut oil. Regarding thinning hair and brittle nails, Reloxe is a product that I bought to help with hair loss.

I had a dandruff problem, so I went to this salon called Bohemia for Scalp Treatment Singapore. I was quite impressed by their knowledge of hair treatment options, so maybe you should consider visiting them some time!
