The Next Chapter – Traditional Tea Ceremony

The post most of you have been waiting for….

There are a lot of pictures to choose from so it took me a while to blog about it.

Pictures are all taken by 3PM and edited by myself hahahha

Caution: Picture overloaded ya!!!

I wont tell a long grandma story here la since most of you is going to just scroll thru and see the pictures only hahhaa.

My hair and make up were all done by Hikky San from 76Style. I personally think the makeup artist is very very important especially on your big day like your wedding day! You have to find someone that understands what you want and also make sure they wont just FFK you ahhaha. I heard from one of my friends her make up artist decided to ffk on her wedding day and she had to find another make up artist at the last minute =( I was quite paranoid once I heard about it and I was damn scared my make up artist will ffk. I was quite worried if I find a normal wedding day makeup artist I will end up looking like all the brides, you know those with feather or fake diamond or pearls in their hair ==” I was quite relieved when I found out that 76style will be sponsoring my make up and hair  on my wedding day. I did a few shoots with Hikky before and she did an awesome job so I trust her more than anyone else!  By the way, good news to those who are looking for make up and hair for your party, big day or whatever you’re planning… 76style now provides make-up service at their branches, click here for more info! Hikky san is based in Mont Kiara if you’re looking for her =)

My baby boy and I, bought him a little tie when I was in Taiwan hahha It matches the theme perfectly!

Those who were asking about my wedding heels, these are the ones! I got them from ALDO.

This is the side view of my hairdo by Hikky. Madly inlove with it! My mum bought me the red flower hair clip 2 years ago and surprisingly it matches my “Kua” hehee.

Jo getting ready at his place =) Waw, our room look so nice in pictures!!

The completed look for my morning session! Grandma says I very RED hahaha and she loves it!

We had plenty of time for pictures so I was like, “Ji Muis faster come take pic first!!!!” My bridesmaids dresses are from Su-estilo.

Daddy and Mummy kiss the bride pls hahhaa

My beloved sisters… Gin was complaining why the wedding highlights don’t have her inside, hahah, I say you were too busy taking pictures of others ma.

Very important person in my life, my “Kaima” (god mother). She was the one who took care of us when my parents were too busy with work when we were young =) She is like my 2nd mother just that she is not my dad’s wife HAHAHAH (lame joke)

My grandparents =) We look quite alike in this picture le!!

My ji muis all ready to torture/test his heng dais. Hahah

The groom called and said they were reaching so I ran back up to my room and did a little photoshoot session with my princess room hahahha

I dont know why but the shoes/heels wearing session seems to be quite important because most of the photographers will try to capure this moment in all weddings == Maybe just because they have nothing much to take ==”

Part of the tradition for Chinese weddings is that parents will be the ones who put on the veil for you. I bought mine in Guang Zhou, when I first saw it I was like buy or not a?? I tot I’ll be wearing my white gown then, so I was like buy only la RM15 only!! Thank god I bought it because it matches my “Kua” perfectly!

The little door opening boy, look at his face ==”

The day before Jo was like asking me, should I just pay the bridesmaids straight away when I reach? I say it’s better if you split the money into 2 red packets just in case hahaha

I collaged a few pictures that I think are quite cute to show you guys haha. These pictures were taken during the game session. All the games were inspired by Running Man hahhaha. I love the idea of not just the heng dais playing but my bridesmaids have to join too. I like it like this because I hate it when bridesmaids torture the guys, what’s the point that you make them drink disgusting stuff and play disgusting games. It’s more fun that everyone gets to play together and enjoy it!

Please sing Bo’s current fav song… “Can you blow my whistle, baby? Whistle baby let me know…”

Please tell us why you love Bo in mandarin…. “Hmm because she knows how to cook, because she is dumb but cute..” Dont know I should cry or laugh ==”

The bride and the groom.

We fed each other “Tang yuan”

Then another photo session with Jo

Heading out from my room to the living room.

Prayers…. Then the tea ceremony begins…

I’m too lazy to post all the tea ceremony pictures up so here are some of the highlights ==”

Then the family portrait session!

Family

The Bridesmaids and Heng dais…. I wonder what’s the English version of heng dais? Jo says ‘groomsmen’. My bridesmaids all look so pretty here… so happy!!

I requested for another picture with my bridesmaids only hahha

Then the Heng dais only hahaha

Thanks to Dudu, Jie Jie, Ge Ge and Rock mei who came all the way from Taiwan just to experience our wedding!

and of cox Vanji who came =) Too bad Xiao Bei couldn’t make it =(

It’s time to leave the house so we said goodbye to my parents then off we went =)

Then the same thing was repeated at JO’s place. We served tea to the elders and his parents.

Jo only allowed me to post 2 pictures of his family up so == there u go, this is our family portrait.

We had plently of time for a photoshoot at Jo’s place too haha

Another one… very retro feel right!

Then we went up to our room to finish the rest of ceremonies like letting kids jump on our bed and letting them get candies and red packets.

One of my fav pictures! NOthing much to do so we took a lot of pictures!!!

With the Bridesmaids and my maid of honor (my jie jie)

This picture explains why guys shouldn’t pose like girls ==”

Last but not least, our very own family portrait with baby boy hahaha.

After the whole chinese traditional wedding ceremony, we got to rest a little before our ROM.

I got to shower then re do my make up again, super happy about it hahahah

To be continued….

You look gorgeous and the photos turned out great. Jo is right, the English equivalent of heng dais is groomsmen.
