DRx O2 Treatment

I think I’m starting to get used to visiting DRx for my monthly facial. As usual, I went back to DRx for another pre-prep facial just a week before my birthday. I really like the idea of occupying myself with hair or facial appointment before a party. It’s like the life of rich tai tai (housewife) hahahaha.

So this time I get to try out a new pre-party facial that DRx just introduced in Malaysia. I have been told that this facial is really well known and a lot of celebrities like Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce are doing this facial too. This magic treatment is called DRx O2 Treatment. Let me share a little bit on this treatment before I show you the process.

DRx O2 Treatment is known as a Topical Hyperbaric Oxygen (THO) Theraphy. The name itself already sounds very professional hahaha. Basically, this treatment directs oxygen to the vital fluids at the surface, and THO Therapy is used to promote new cell growth to speed healing and aid absorption of the serums used. To put it simply, this treatment basically helps to push oxygen into your skin, provide moisture to your skin, minimize your fine lines and whiten/brighten up your skin! In just 45 minutes, this therapy can do so much for your skin, which is super awesome for people like me who cannot sit still for more than 30 min hahaha.

Let’s start with the process shall we?

d1 This is me with my bare face. So sorry for the low resolution because it was taken using my iPhone 4s =(

d2 First, it starts by removing/vacuuming all the dead skin cells from you face. Remember the Essential Facial that I did, they are using the same machine to vacuum my face. Hehe I always make fun of the sounds of the vacuum because it sounds like the cookies vacuum from Teletubies hahahaha

d3After cleaning my face and vacuuming all the dead skin/cells from my face, they start with the O2 Treatment. If you were to ask me how does it feels like, I would say it feels like my face being sprayed with cool water hahaha. They tool that they are using is pretty similar to a airbrush tool, if you know how the airbrush tool look like you should be able to imagine how it feels like. They fill in the serum into the brush and lightly spray it on your face. It gives you a very relaxing feel so I fell asleep, literally hahaha. The therapist did half of my face first so that I can compare the differences.

d4 Ok this is a “before” and “after” pic! You can obviously tell from my “after” picture my skin is more moisturized and a bit lifted up. I know in the after picture I look more tanned but it’s because of the lighting hahaha ==”

d5To show you the lifted up effect, I present my stoned look to you hahaha. I drew a line on top of my brows so you can see it easily. My left brow is higher than my right brow right? The effects of this facial are very quick and obvious.

So the difference between this facial and the one I did (Carbon Laser), is that the O2 Treatment is more relaxing because they only use a airbrush tool to “airbrush” the serum on your face.

The first serum, O2 Rejuvenate, is to lift and smoothen your face. It really works on smoothening fine lines too because I realized after a few days after that treatment, I can clearly see that the fine lines underneath my eyes area are reduced!

The second serum, O2 Whitening is to whiten or brighten up your skin! Whitening is every Asian girl’s favorite right right? My mum always says as long as you’re fair you will look beautiful hahaha. Well I sort of agree with what she says but I added “You need a little bit of make up too hahaha.”

d6 This is me with my Coffee Bean right after the O2 Treatment!

d7Then this is me a few days after O2 Treatment with full makeup on.

d8Another pic of me without lighting and filter hehe =)

If you have a party or dinner to attend and are thinking of going for a facial, I would strongly recommend you to try this because it’s relaxing and the effect lasts for at least 2-3 weeks!

I will be visiting DRx again on Friday, and I’m super excited about it because I will be doing another pre- party facial before my trip to Japan on the 23rd!

Anyway, if you’re looking to visit DRx, you’re lucky because they will be launching DRx Medispa in November!!
