Wedding Preparation- The Invitation

Another post on our wedding preparation, I’m the most rajin bride ever!!

Actually I dont really want to clutter my blog with lots of wedding preparation blog posts but I have no choice!

These are the most happening things that happened in these past few weeks!

I’m glad that I have Vi Lynn to help me out with my wedding preparation; I dont have to worry about anything at all, hahahahah

Back to my original topic, my invitation!

I didn’t want the traditional chinese looking invite, I want it to be “me”!

I checked out a few shops that does invitations but I couldn’t seem to find the one that I wanted!

Few things that I didn’t want –

I dont want an envelope!

I dont want it to be red!

I dont want it to be a normal gate fold.

While I was shopping alone at Martket @ Jaya One, I saw this booth that sells customized invitations so I asked for their email and I emailed them what I wanted!

They said my idea can easily be done! I was so relieved!!

This was the first mock up that she sent to me. It was ok but I still think there is something missing!!

Then I asked them to try and tie it with different colored ribbon! It looks like a parcel more than an invitation and the ribbon is too thick =(

First draft of the wordings inside our invitation =) We didn’t like the font, it’s too Disney!! hahaha

After a few rounds of ding ding dong dong, I finally got what I wanted!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you our invitation!

You should be able to figure out what’s the theme of our wedding by looking at the pink sakura tag on the invitation!

She hand cut the sakura one bye one!! Super pretty and neat!

Our theme is Sakura because we took our pre wedding pictures in Japan and it’s pink!

Jo was asking how are we going to send them to our guests? I told him just like this! It looks like a mini parcel right!!

Super cute! Then we will handwrite our guest names on the white tag and it will look like our guests received a parcel from us!! hahahahhaha

This is how the inside looks like.

What do you guys think?

I want to keep one copy for myself also!!! hahahah

We will start sending out our invites in the beginning of Aug because September will be the Chinese Ghost Festival.

We quite pan tang one! So, it’s better give them out earlier!
