The Rice Bowl of Malaysia

Did a little photoshoot with the girls at the paddy fields in Sekinchan, Kuala Selangor.

I’ve always wanted to go there since discovering all the amazing pictures online.

***************

Behind The Scene

Woke up really, really, early on Sunday morning (5am), dressed up, slapped on a full make up and left.

Stopped by at rest stop to grab some breakfast but then we found out there was NO McD! How can they not have a McD in the rest stop. *fail*

After a 2 hour drive, we finally reached our destination, Sekinchan!

A very depressing sight; they’ve harvested all the paddy. It was supposed to look like a sea full of green but….

Was pretty upset and angry because all my effort just went down the drain.

Our effort paid off! We spotted a field of paddy left and it was still green! Parked our car nearby and walked over to the field.

This is how you do a shoot without a ladder.

Picture of my “hat”. Everyone had a cancan hat but I forgot to bring mine, so I had to make one myself.

Shirley brought a mat so we could sit and enjoy the view; very thoughtful of her.

The only thing I hated about the paddy field was that my whole body was itching after standing in the field for a few mins. I tried wiping it using wet tissue but it got worse.

Kuala Selangor has some very fresh and cheap seafood!

Very yummy fish!

We plan to visit again in September (when it’s GREEN).

This time I will be well prepared!!

till then
