  • Perfect Solution for Shiny and Healthier Nails at Home

    Sponsored Post

Look at this picture… Any of you actually carry these around when you’re travelling?

    IMG_3756

I DO! I’m not going to lie, ever since I started travelling more often, I realized how important is it to have a manicure set with me wherever I go. The reason why I need to carry a manicure set with me is because I always manage break my nails under any circumstances, no matter in the pool, beach, shopping or etc. My nails are considered very fragile and dry so it breaks easily. The problem is that it’s quite troublesome to have to carry a bag full of metal clippers and scissors but I have finally found the perfect solution for this situation!

    IMG_3750

Scholl has finally come out with the best solution for people like me, an electronic nail care system *screams*. Most of you should already know Scholl, as they are the first choice for healthy and better looking feet. Now they don’t just take good care of your feet, they take care of you nails too! How amazing is that!

    How it works?

Scholl’s Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System comes with a nail system file with 3 different heads for filing, buffing and shining both toe nails and finger nails. The great thing about it is that it uses 1 AA battery (included), there is no need to carry along a charger or whatever and you can easily get a 1 AA battery anywhere you go!

Let me show you how to get a perfect natural looking and shiny nails in 3 steps!

    IMG_3751 IMG_3748

First, put the file head (1) on the nail pen, switch it on and choose speed from 2 speed options. You don’t really need to do much if you’re using Scholl electronic nail care system because it will vibrate and file your nails itself. All you need to do is to slowly move it around to achieve the desired shape you want.

    IMG_3752 IMG_3747

Secondly, put on the buff head (2) to even out imperfections and smoothen the nail surface.

    IMG_3753 IMG_3749

Lastly, put on the shine head (3) and shine the nail surface in a circular motion. Apply light pressure for best results.

    IMG_3754

Then, you’re done!! For the best shiny touch you can apply Scholl rich cuticle and nail oil.

    IMG_3746 IMG_3745

Another good thing about Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System is that it’s very light and compact. It can be used at anywhere… You can do it sitting on the sofa while watching the TV or at the table haha.

    IMG_3755

If you were to ask me what’s the MUST bring on a trip, I would say a nail care system =) If would like to have one for yourself too feel free to visit LAZADA web site because they are having promotion for Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System if you use the promo Code FILE30 but do it quick because it’s only valid from 7 – 31st March for RM30 off.

May everyone have perfect and shiny nails =)

  • Happy Monkey Year!

Waw, time flies when you’re having a good time doesn’t it! So fast, that 15 days of CNY flew by in the blink of an eye. I hope everyone had a great break and to those who celebrate CNY, Gong Xi Fai Cai!

    IMG_3333

This year is pretty different and more relaxing to me and Jo because we have our own place and we dont have to rush to 2 dinners on CNY eve. Imagine the terror of rushing to the first dinner at 6pm then right after that we have to rush to the 2nd dinner at 9pm T___T. I dont really like the idea la because we dont get to spend enough time alone and with the relatives.

As usual, we celebrated CNY eve and first day in KL with Jo’s family then 2nd to 4th with my family back in my hometown, Kuala Pilah. I was telling JO I feel glad that we dont have to get stuck in any CNY jam!

    IMG_3362

Like I have mentioned, Jo’s kampung is in KL so we get to spend some time at the gym before reunion dinner hahaha. I know la, we sound like losers becasue CNY still go to the gym lol. I was on Kayla week 19 I cannot stop half way ma so might as well complete week 19th instead.

    IMG_3363

Then last min bao ang bao session! Every year I cant decide which ang bao to use hahahah.

    IMG_3365

After gym, we headed home to shower and dress up for reunion dinner at Jo’s cousin place. There’s only 3 of us (Jo, mil and I) so we thought it’s better to join the relatives for reunion dinner. The more the merrier and we only do it once it a year wtf.

    IMG_3332

It has been a year since we last met Jo’s niece (she used to stayed with us back in Puchong). She has grown much taller and more talkative! I had a fun time playing hide and seek and taking selfie with her hahha.

IMG_3451In 1 yr, Jo’s cousin gave birth to another cheeky baby girl! Super blessed to give birth two pretty girls man!!

Totally forgot to take picture of the yummy food we had during dinner lol…

    IMG_3453

On the first day, we woke up around 8am to have simple breakfast at home then get ready to for house visiting! It feels so great to have our own place now because we get to have our little space before spending whole day with the relatives T_T

IMG_3334First day of CNY, as usual we went to Jo’s cousin place to have lunch and meet up with all the relatives from his mum side!

IMG_3330Matchy pastel colored outfit for the first day of CNY.

    IMG_3331

I told Jo she will be our fake daughter for CNY until she is big enough to say no to taking picture with us hahahaha. So far, whenever i say come take a selfie she will just run to me and pose =)

CNY for a married couple who have no kids is quite torturing because ppl just wont stop asking “When r u planning to have one?” I feel bad to reply “Not planning to have one” because it’s CNY but I feel so annoyed with all these stupid questions. Even my mil would join the force and keep hinting =( Aiya, if you guys love kids so much just give birth one for urself la dont kacau my life =.=

As usual, didnt bother to take pic of the food again because we had KFC wtf. Spent the whole day at the cousin’s place playing hide and seek and LEGO with our rental daughter.

    IMG_3454

Mil has plans for dinner so Jo and I just went to have mamak and went back home to watch Mi Yue lol. Not sure about you but I really like spending CNY like this, very quiet and stress free!

IMG_34522nd day of CNY is when my CNY starts proper!!! Balik kampung to visit my family and gamble! Our family tradition is that everyone must wear red or bright color!

    IMG_3355

First thing we did when we reached my place was to serve tea to my parents and get ang baos!

    IMG_3329

Our family portrait! So happy that we have one more new family member to celebrate CNY with! Welcome to the Siow family, Dr Lim =)

    IMG_3351

    My kampung style OOTD!

    IMG_3353 IMG_3354

Lunch my mum cooked Taiwanese dumpling (served without soup, my fav) and Gin bought Lou Sheng!

IMG_3352Then we had our Catan session! Our whole family is super addicted into this game hahaha.

IMG_3349Of cox we gamble with relatives too! This Gin very kia su la use mandarin oranges as paper weight ==’

    IMG_3350

    Steamboat for dinner!!!

    IMG_3347 IMG_3327

Then at night we had a little fireworks competition with the neighbors lol, ok la the house behind us win ==’

    IMG_3346

The wind was too strong that night so ended up our lantern burnt before rising hahahahahhaha.

    IMG_3325

3rd day of CNY, we had lunch at home again hahaha. We dont really go out for meals back in my kampung because nothing is open and we are too lazy to drive around.

    IMG_3348

Then we visited all the temples in my hometown!

    IMG_3345

Another tradition of ours is to donate red lanterns to the temple every CNY. So each of us donated 1 pair with our names on it.

IMG_3343Just like 2nd day of CNY, we gamble, play Catan and non stop eating!

    IMG_3340

Dad told us to resume work on the 5th day of CNY so Jo and I went back to the office on the 5th and did some prayer and pretend to work haha

    IMG_3341

What I did was to turn on my computer then I skyped my colleagues 888888888888888888888888888888888 mean FATT hahaha. Then turn on Cai Sheng Dao song super loud !! haha

    IMG_3337

On the 6th day of CNY, we finally get our own time to hang out a bit before going back to work.

    IMG_3336

When I say date I meant eating clean and heading to the gym lol.

I hope everyone had a great CNY too! Last but not least, I wish everyone has a prosperous year ahead, eat healthily and work hard!

I know the biggest enemy everyone meets after CNY is the extra pounds that you have gained from feasting lol.

Don’t worry, check out my previous post to find out how to loose the extra pounds from CNY break!

  • My 2015

Waw, I cant believe 2015 is coming to an end in a blink of an eye! I’m not sure if it’s just me or time moves slowly when we were kids but it moves like a rocket when we are adults. I remember when I was young I kept telling myself please grow up faster because. Right now, I’m all grown up and married, I would prefer that my time move slower hahaha

Usually most people like to blog about their new year resolutions but I think I prefer to look back in time and see what I have achieved in 2015.

    Lets begin, shall we?

UntitledA screenshot of the photos taken using my iPhone in 2015! As you can see, I cant list out everything that happened in my 2015 in 1 post so I shall just mention some highlights.

IMG_2116Those who have been following me should know that my resolution for 2014 was to pick up fitness and get as toned as I can. Surprisingly, i always thought getting lean is one of the hardest new year resolutions but I did it! I can proudly say that I’m more fit and healthier than in 2014. I have been going to the gym non-stop and keep pushing myself harder each day. I’m so glad that I did because I’m more confident and happy now.

    IMG_2122

We also moved into our new place in 2015! It was like a dream because I have been waiting for this day to come since 3 years ago. Sometimes when I’m home sitting on the sofa chilling I think to myself I still cant believe we finally get our own living room, own kitchen and most of all our own private space.

The whole renovation process was pretty fun and exciting for us because we came out with the whole idea and concept of our house by ourselves. We are so glad that we decided to do it ourselves instead as we learned so much throughout the process. I learned that things dont come together easily, and we need a lot of effort and patience. We starting moving in when our house was pretty empty, we didn’t have enough storage, no pretty rugs or deco to cozy up the whole house but we told ourselves, slowly but surely! With a limited budget we tried to get whatever we needed first then leave the “wants” aside. Each month we slowly brought more pieces home, like Lego, one at a time so that we dont overspend =)

Thanks to those who made it happen, you know who you are =)

    IMG_2124

In 2015, I also get to cook more often because I get my own kitchen =) My favorite thing to do now is to plan what to cook for our dinner. I enjoy going to the grocery or market with Jo to get ingredients and all. A few people ask me “why do u enjoy cooking so much?” I dont know le I just love it. Besides that I also manage to influence Jo to cook =) so sometimes I get to goyang kaki and watch Game of Thrones while he is cooking! #perfectplan.

By the way, Im working on a project (Vlog) for 2016 where cooking will be involved so please let me know what sort of recipes you would like me to share with you guys! I’ll be more than happy to share it with u guys!

    IMG_2121

My beloved sister finally got married, and the reason why I say finally is because they signed the papers 2 years ago and kept delaying the wedding ==” My parents were like pls get it done and over with hahahaha. So they chose their dates and my sister was like ” Bobo u will be incharge of the wedding decoration!” I was super excited about it because I always wanted to experience how is it like to be a wedding planner! Thanks to my sister I got a good opportunity to do it. What i did was i asked for her fav color and Pinterest the shit out of every thing, from the table center piece to dessert table. I had lots of fun planning it and I cant believe that everything turned out to be perfect! The wedding was a success and it was like a dream for her =) I also learnt that it’s not easy to work as a wedding planner, it’s super tiring and exhausting especially when u have to do the deco and labor work yourselves T_T.

IMG_2114In 2015, I also got the opportunity to explore more countries that I have never been to such as Australia and Bali (Indonesia)! I also got to revisit places that I have been to like Phuket, Taiwan and Bangkok! I went to Queensland, Aus together with Citygal for #Escapers2015 and we won 3rd place! The prize was complimentary stay at Sofitel Bali so we brought along the boys with us as a couples trip! It was super fun and relaxing because all we did was stay in the resort and get tanned.

For my 30th birthday, we planned a mini getaway to Phuket just the two of us and we stayed in a gorgeous 1 bedroom villa at Pullman. It was the most relaxing and awesome getaway ever, all we did was eat, sleep and get tanned as well hehe.

Now that i have listed them out, I’m reminded on how lucky I am to be able to travel to so many countries in 2015. I’m so thankful for all the opportunities and sponsors =). I wish that I get to travel to more countries in 2016 together with Jo.

    IMG_2123

In 2015, I met a lot of amazing people especially my fellow Taitais, and it started off with just the 3 of us but now we have 5! We call ourselves #Competitiveaunties because we are but in a good way la. The first outing with the aunties was fun and filled with laughter! Whenever we are out for dinner we just wont stop talking until we realize it’s too late then we will go ahead and plan our next gathering and it goes on and on. It’s always good to have a group of people who are in the same stage of life and everyone gets to share their stories. Our 2016 plan is to plan a getaway with the aunties! Beware ah because aunties out to play and u know how wild they are lol.

That pretty much sums up my 2015 and I’m looking forward to see what 2016 can offer!

Happy New Year everyone, may 2016 give you more wealth and good health!

  • Secret Santa with Rice Group

Finally after being MIA for so long from my blog, I’m back! I have to add “Blog more often” into my 2016 new year’s resolutions edi la. I have been so lazy updating my blog because I update my days on my Dayre (Bobostephanie) almost every other day and then I don’t get the urge to do it here on my blog.

But, since I have already promised myself to update more I should get it started!

Every Christmas Jo’s high school friends will always get together for dinner then Secret Santa. Not going to lie but at first I hated the idea of Secret Santa because clearly some people think it’s fun to give out stupid gifts like a tissue box, free company planner -.- or a scary looking doll that you think it’s better for it to stay in the dustbin than any where near you.

Yup, those are the people who ruined the wonders of Secret Santa for me. Jo got really pissed at those who dont put effort into buying gifts so he decided that we shall not do anymore Secret Santa with anyone anymore. So just when I tot Ok I can save money on buying gifts and all then JO told me his high school friends are planning for a Christmas dinner and Secret Santa again this year, then both of us were like, Ok lets invite them over as our house warming and also give secret Santa another chance. I’m so glad that we did it because it was by far the funnest Secret Santa and Christmas party so far!

The moment when we both agreed to host Christmas dinner at our new place, I knew I NEED to put up a Christmas tree and turn our house into a Christmas wonderland!

    IMG_1947

Jo limitted me on spending too much on Christmas deco so thats the most I could do with a limited budget XD. I got my Hello Kitty Santa sock a few years ago from Japan then the other two socks I got them from a Christmas deco store near my place. If you cant tell, the theme of my Christmas is silver and white, I wanted PINK but Jo says NO. -.- I also Youtube fire place and play it on our TV so it completes the whole look haha.

    IMG_1940

We recently got this rack from Ikea then I decorated it a bit with a Christmas quote and etc.

    IMG_1933

    IMG_1939

Went to Floratiska in Bangsar to get flowers for our dinning table! Waned to get something that shouts Christmas but too expensive T_T so I got something else.
I’m in love with flowers arrangement now le! I find it quite fun but I’m not very good with it la just cincai. So I got these! Super pretty right? It’s like little balls of snow stuck on the tree! Ahem I was the one who tied the bow too👏 clap for myself hahahha

IMG_2007Table setting is very important too, I managed to find a silver paper plates that can match my Christmas tree!

Now, for the cooking and the whole menu! Thank god it was potluck so we dont have to think of a menu to feed 11 people!

    IMG_1942

I volunteered to cook pumpkin soup because Joanne and Natasha got us a hand held blender as our housewarming gift =) Jo helped because I was having a very bad hangover from drinking =(

    IMG_1941

I found the recipe from Jamie Oliver’s page and it requires an oven to roast the pumpkin but since we dont have an oven, Jo cut the pumpkin into small cubes (OCD, but he says to cook evenly) then he slowly pan fried them till it was caramelized and soft.

IMG_1943I told him to leave the blending to me cox I want to try la!

    IMG_1945

Once we were done with cooking, we started our gift wrapping session which was also done by Jo -.- He says I’m very bad at it so just leave it to him. Aiya he very ma fan de, he wants all the folds to be exact the same T_______T I bet he didnt know people just tore the wrapper at the end hor…

IMG_1938This year’s theme is silver so ribbons also silver !!

IMG_1937Dont say I never contribute ok, I printed out the gift tags which I found on Pinterest!

IMG_1944Presents under the mini Christmas tree, so pretty!!!

IMG_2014All the presents for Secret Santa!

IMG_2010Everyone showed up bringing their own dish, and most of them made it themselves but a few people put the budget towards a whole roasted turkey. Everyone put so much effort into their own dishes, I’m so impressed!!

IMG_2009Michelle and I were so afraid that someone might show up bringing KFC to the party but no one did le!!! Everything was so delicious and shouted Christmas!

    IMG_2012

Michelle, the Master Chef in our group baked a tiraisu yule log 0.o This girl is super over achiever one everyone brought 1 dish she brought 3 dishes T___T When I saw this log my reaction was like you buy one or bake one why so perfect de! hahaha

IMG_2011My personal master chef also baked a no-bake cheese cake and it tasted so good! This is why they say it’s good to marry a husband who loves to cook so that you can goyang kaki at home and watch Runningman x)

    IMG_2013

The pumpkin soup that Jo made, but I supervised and also blended, ehh not easy le! Had to make sure the texture was just right.

IMG_2015Group picture before Secret Santa! OMG furryboy looks damn cute in the Santa hat!!

    IMG_2035 IMG_2036

I must say this year’s secret Santa is by far the best also because no free company planner -.- or random stuff lol. Everyone put so much effort into buying their gift! Everything was so personal and suited the person who received it.

    IMG_1934 IMG_1935 IMG_1936

I have to show off the gift that I prepared for Alex because it’s tailor made for him! I got him a Hangover Relief kit because he LOVES to drink! Got the empty first aid kit box from our office then I just got everything from the supermarket!

    The contents of the kit:-

Tissue and wet tissue – To wipe or clean if he puke or sweat ==”

    Water- To keep him hydrated

    Coffee- To wake him up

Mouthwash- To rinse after a night out drinking

Orange vita drink- A shot of vitamin C to cure hangover

Plaster – In case he hurt himself

Pregnancy test- …  u know la

Deodorant- no need to explain ba…

Disposable shaver- To shave in the morning lo

Ramen- You need something hot and soupy after a night of drinking

Red bull- Keep yourself awake through the next day

Warm eye patch – For a good sleep after a sleepless night.

Very thoughtful le!!! Actually I stole Jo’s idea because he prepared a All-Night Gaming kit for Alvin (gamer) lol.

    IMG_2037

After Secret Santa we played a drinking game because one of them got a mini roulette drinking game as a gift! Super useful and it’s perfect for gatherings! It’s quite fun one you just need to pour whatever u want into the shot glass then roll la, you drink whatever is in the number you rolled!

IMG_2006I love what I got this year, a home fragrance kit that I have been looking for. I saw one very nice one in Bangkok but Jo stopped me from buying it ='( ever since then i cant find any nice ones in KL edi! Thanks Secret Santa for this perfect gift for my house and my house smells super nice now.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

  • Make Beautiful Happen

    Sponsored Post

This is my third post on Panasonic café so I guess I don’t need a lengthy introduction on Panasonic café so you can check out my previous posts (Panasonic café 1 & 2). So lets go straight to what happened at this edition of Panasonic café that took place last Friday! I’m quite amazed at how Panasonic always chooses the perfect venue for each of the Panasonic café events. This time the event took place at Marble 8, which is located in KL. There are a few reasons why I love attending Panasonic events, first is because I get to personally try out their newly launched beauty technology. Second reason is that I get to hang out with blogger friends and the last reason is because Panasonic always prepares the most exciting goodie bags for us.

    DSC08933

First thing I did when I arrived at the event was to take pictures at the photobooth with the “Beauty Queen” quote hahaha.

    DSC08935

Then this time we get to share our secret on “how you make beautiful happen?” OK la, a bit shy, but I wrote, “it’s pretty simple and straight forward, be confident, use the right beauty products and always SMILE =)”.

    DSC08936

After that, I was led to my seat that was filled with Panasonic’s NEW compact straight & curl straightener EH-HV10 and 2-WAY straight & curl straightener EH-HV20

    DSC08937

I fell in love with the PINK EH-HV10 the moment I saw it! I love the shade of pink and the little bling design on it. The cap is perfect for easy storage and also preventing clumsy people like me to get burned by the plates.

    DSC08938

EH-HV10 comes in 3 different color pink, white and black so pretty!

    DSC08941

Ladies let me present to you Panasonic’s 3 new hair stylers (from the top) Multi-Styling Hair Styler EH-HV51, Straight & Curl Hair sSyler EH-HV20 and Compact Straight & Curl Hair Styler EH-HV10.

A closer look of each styler so you have a better understanding on each of them and get the right one for yourself!

    EH-HV51-Product_Main_PictureGlobal-1_my_en

Multi-Styling Hair Styler EH-HV51 comes with additional 5 attachments that can create a total of 6 different hair styles. This model has the latest technology that will evenly distribute the heat on the plate for better styling results and it’s ready to use in 15 seconds. For those who have colored hair it’s perfect for you because it has color-care photo ceramic plates to prevent color fading. (Retail price RM255)

    EH-HV20-Product_Main_PictureGlobal-1_my_en

2-Way Straight & Curl Straightener EH-HV20 also has the same even heat distribution plates and can be ready to use in 15 seconds. The only difference of this model compared to EH-HV51 is that it has 105mm extra-long plates for speedy straightening and easy curling. For those who have longer hair, this is perfect for you. (Retail price RM189)

    EH-HV10-Product_Main_PictureGlobal-1_my_en

Last but not least, my favourite Compact Straight & Curl Styler EH-HV10. The length of the styler is only 23.5cm including the cap so it’s perfect for easy storage and to travel with. To those who love to travel, this is what you need. (Retail price RM119)

*All three models above have color-care photo ceramic plates for color-fade prevention, keeping hair moist and to prevent color loss.

    DSC08946

    DSC08948

Behind every pretty model, there is always a talented man/stylist, and today we have my favorite Yoshi-san from Number 76 hair salon. Most of you should already know Yoshi who is the master behind my hair color and hairstyle, haha, and he is also the one who makes sure my hair is well taken care of. I’m 100% sure that he knows my hair better than I do.

    DSC08957 DSC08952

Couldn’t decide which color I should bring home haha.

    DSC08962

Lastly, we have Aishah Sinclair, Panasonic Beauty Personality, to share her experiences and her beauty secrets using Panasonic beauty products.

    DSC08963

Attending events with these pretty girls is always fun (Karen, Apple, Bella, Nana)

    DSC08968

Finally a proper picture with Yoshi-san, believe it or not I have never taken any pictures with him before hahaha. He is single and available *ahem ahem all my single ladies, a hint for you…

    DSC08970

Another picture with the soon to be the mother of two, congrats Cheesie!
