My Personal Chef

Long overdue post; 2nd part of my birthday posts!

Remember, I tweeted that we decided to have my birthday dinner at home and the chef would be Jo.

It was 2 weeks before my birthday, and we found a prefect time to have “fine dining” at home instead of spending RM500 for two at a fancy restaurant.

Im not a big fan of fine dining, I think they are really expensive and not filling! (I always drive thru McD right after having fine dining for dinner)

So, on Sunday we went to Bangsar Village to buy the ingredients for our dinner.

Total spent RM 200!!! It was enough for 3 dishes plus 2 extra days of dinner at home! CHEAP OR NOT!

OK, I lied… The main chef should be the online recipe website, hahaha

Jo, my personal chef

Jo was the one who cut, washed, prepped, baked and cooked everything. I stood at the side and took pictures =)

A bowl of toasted almonds (the stupidest caption ever)

Mixing the salad dressing (honey mustard & olive oil)

I did help to cut onions *wink*

and sauteed the topping for the salad.

Arborio rice (it’s pretty expensive for a lil bag of rice)

The Scary Movie!!! hahahahaha

I washed the veges too, so dont say I didnt help out a!!!

The king of the kitchen, hahahaha

The main course, Wagyu beef!!!

In the ‘making of’ wagyu beef!

Risotto with bacon!

Mushroom salad with feta cheese and honey mustard dressing!

The beef was my fav! It was so juicy and tender (Im literally drooling right now)

Lovely birthday dinner!

The setting of our dinner was at Jo’s crib =)

Last but not least, thank you so much for putting so much effort on my pre-brithday dinner!

I enjoyed the beef and the salad the most!

Well, at least I know that I will be marrying to a guy that can cook, so I wont starve to death ==”

Once again, thank you so much, Taro.
