Betsey Johnson’s Recipes for Dressing

As I have mentioned in my previous post, I recently had an opportunity to model for Betsey Johnson. The fashion show was held at a club in Novi, Michigan, around 2 hours away from Kalamazoo. So as usual, I went to my morning class on Friday and went home to take a shower, packed my stuff and off we left to Novi. Jo is as always the sweetest bf on earth, always willing to fetch me around for auditions and modeling gigs, thank you so much darling. Surprisingly I didn’t fall asleep in the car because I was so busy chit chatting with Bega and Jeong. We drove thru McDonald’s and had my simple lunch in the car, I realized that nowadays I seldom take pictures of small insignificant events such as having meals in the car or pictures of me in the car ==” I have grown more mature i guess haha!

Ok back to the main point. After 2 hours of talking, driving and talking we arrived at our destination, the Gina Agosta salon. Gina Agosta was one of the sponsors for the Betsey Johnson Fashion show, and I love, love, love their service. Everyone in the salon was so nice; they were super friendly and professional. So far this was the best make up and hair do I have ever done compared to all the other fashion shows I did.

I went into the store and they walked me over to the manicure area to get my nails done. To be honest, this was my first manicure in 23 years. I was super excited about it!

All of the models had the same nail polish color, red with gold colored glitter on top.Love it!

After getting my nails done, I was brought to another station which was their color section. To make our hair look healthier and shiny on stage, we were asked to do a glaze on our hair. Basically they dyed my hair with a very slight blue coloring, so it turned out to be VERY black and it shined.

Next, I walked to the hair cut area to dry and style my hair. It took more than an hour for the whole drying and styling process.

They did some research on the looks that they wanted to achieve for us about 2 days before we came in. The style they wanted for the show was 50s Pinup girl hair styles. I kinda love it =D

I missed the fitting session a week earlier so they printed out the outfit that I would be wearing during the show for me.  There were two outfits for each model,  and I got the Sugared Watermelon and Blueberry Pie outfits.

My pinup girl look! Personally I love it, it’s so different from all the fashion shows I’ve done. I’m always open for something new. What do you think?

We reached Mbargo an hour before the show and we started to practice our walk on the runway.

We were asked to pose for the main camera at the end of the runway.

Our Pinup girl poses.

Jo is always my personal photographer anywhere and anytime.

Thanks Jeong for coming and supporting me. The theme of the night was Pink and Black.

Constanza, Bega and I

Thanks Yenn for coming! You look gorgeous!

Thanks for the support guys!

Constanza says she looks like a giant with her hair up and especially while standing beside me ==”

We did a little impromptu photoshoot right before the show. Well this is the only picture I can find doesn’t make me look weird.

P/s: I look like a prostitute from the 1950s.

Group pic with all the models.

It’s show time!

My favorite part of the show- the Finale =) We walked out with pink and black colored balloons.

After the finale we walked back up on to the stage for a group picture.

Well, I think thats it for the Show. Hope you enjoyed reading and viewing all the pictures.

OOooo By the way, a couple of days of the show I realized that my hair color is now darker than usual.

See, It’s super black! I am an Asian doll!!!
