  • I Smell Vanilla….

    Sponsored Post

    DSC02313

A little survey before I start sharing the main purpose of this post. What’s your priority when you’re looking to buy a box of facial tissue?

    A) Price B) Quality C) Design of the box C)Scent

I would choose all of the above because I’m a typical aunty, I’m super picky and will make sure I get maximum value for the price I pay hahaha. I have been using Kleenex facial tissues from the moment they launched their scented facial tissues last year. When I was doing our usual monthly grocery shopping in a super market, I saw Kleenex scented tissues and straight away I wanted to buy it. I like that it’s 3-ply and every sheet is made from 100% quality virgin fibers that leaves no residue behind to reduce skin irritation. Most importantly it’s because it’s scented! I love everything that has a scent because I’m super addicted into using perfume. I can honestly tell you I can’t live without using perfume. I will spray on perfume whenever I’m stepping out of the house no matter where I go even if I’m going to the gym. Why wouldn’t you like to smell good le? It helps brighten up your day too!

Anyway, ever since I started using Kleenex scented tissues I can never go back to the normal ones edi. So when I was invited to Kleenex’s new scent launch I was pretty excited because I have 1 more option to choose from the scented range, yeah!

    DSC02263

Let me introduce you, the new Vanilla scented facial tissue.

    DSC02274

When you think of Vanilla, does it bring back a lot of sweet memories? It does remind me on how I used to love eating vanilla ice cream with my sisters after school. We always buy vanilla ice cream from the ice cream uncle who sold ice cream on an old bicycle outside of our school.

    DSC02249 DSC02248 DSC02246

The launch was held at the Kimberly Clark office in Kelana Jaya. The team even prepared desserts table and lunch for us =)

    DSC02256

At the launch we were told to introduce ourselves and also pick a question from a box and share our answers. Then we have the Kleenex team unveiling the new Kleenex Vanilla scented facial tissue.

    DSC02255

The packaging is just perfect for Hari Raya Puasa in July!

    DSC02254

Besides the new scent, they also have the rose and cherry blossom scents available. I have to say Rose is my current fav because of the pink packaging and the rose scent is so hard to resist hehehe. It also helps to add a few good wife points when your in-laws or friends visit hehehe. They will be like waw ur tissue smell so good one!!!!

    DSC02273

A picture at the photobooth is a must at every event haha

    DSC02277

Super happy to be surrounded by scented tissue, I wish I can bring home all hahhahah

    DSC02282

Group picture with my #competitiveaunties and also two pretty ladies who are not qualified to be aunties yet haha.

    DSC02286

Thanks Kleenex for having us and also for coming out with such good products to help add more bonus points to us, aunties.

You can easily get it in hypermarkets like Aeon, Aeon Big, Giant and Tesco!

It’s selling at RM14.95/ pack of 4 boxes! Check out www.facebook.com/kleenex.Malaysia for more info!

  • I’m Restarting Kayla 1.0!

Hi all, it has been a while since I last blogged about my fitness journey and obviously the reason is because I’ve gotten lazy and slacked off. Recently all our trips are done and over, so there isn’t a lot of motivation for me to keep track of my workout and goals, so I end up just going to the gym and doing whatever I feel like.

If i’m too lazy to do anything too intense such as cardio or Kayla’s legs day, I will just do weight training but I will make sure that I run for at least 15 min. Since I’m quite motivated to blog today so I thought I should quickly share my review for Kayla BBG Guide for 1.0 and 2.0!

Yupe, I have completed both guides. I’m quite surprised at my determination towards this because I have a very very short attention span at things that I’m doing haha. Ok, I think I will just list down whats the differences between 1.0 and 2.0!

Disclaimer- It’s all based on my personal experience ya!

    Workout Routine

Kayla 1.0 – I’ve completed 1.0 3 rounds before I started 2.0. I started 1.0 when I was pretty much new to the gym. I find 1.0 is more intense and tiring compared to 2.0 because it involves a lot of cardio such as burpess, jump lunges and stepups! The good thing about doing a lot of cardio is that it helps to burn a lot of calories and it makes your daily activity like climbing stairs or jogging much more easier. I can clearly feel that my stamina improved A LOT after completing the first round of 1.0.

Kayla 2.0 – So obviously, 2.0 is the next level of 1.0 so in this guide you will see a lot of workouts that requires weights (dumbbell, barbell and etc)! When I first started 2.0 I fell in love with it instantly because it has less cardio and I hate doing cardio hahaha. That’s when I started following Jo on doing weights at the gym.

    Body Shape

Kayla 1.0 – After completing 1.0 I can tell that I loose a lot of weight/ fat. My body is now slimmer than before and I can slowly see my arms and legs are more lean and in better shape. If you’re looking to loose weight and to look fit, you should consider following Kayla 1.0! The trick is to keep repeating 1.0 guide for best result.

    IMG_9417

This picture taken when I was in week 10 of Kayla 1.0 for the 3rd time.

You can tell from this picture that I lost a lot of fat and it made my legs looks so much slimmer and longer haha. I also achieved what I wanted, thigh gap ^^ My butt also firmer and rounder (thanks to all the uncountable squats)

My progress of doing Kayla 1.0 for 3 times goes like this…

1st round, I manage to complete only 1 round each circuit and by the end of the guide, I loose a lot of weight and manage to do all workouts in the correct forms.

2nd round, I’m stronger compared to 1st because I managed to do more burpees and also pushups! I also managed to complete more circuits (1 and a half sometimes 2) in 7 mins! My abs is more obvious and my hands are more firm!

3rd round, I can obviously see my body is way more leaner than before and muscles are showing! I also got bored of following Kayla 1.0 because I feel that I can do more than just cardio!

Kayla 2.0 – Like I mentioned, in 2.0 it requires more weight lifting than cardio so it’s pushing my body towards to bodybuilding.

IMG_3900This picture was taken when I was in Kayla 2.0 for the first time ( I dont remember which week edi). My arms and abs muscle were quite obvious which I really really like!!! So I asked to join Jo in his shoulders and back routine! I like it when see my arms muscles are more defined and obvious now!

    Diet

    IMG_2920

Kayla 1.0 – I was pretty determined and hardcore when I started 1.0 so I was very strict with my own diet. I eat a lot of homecooked clean food (I blogged about it here and here) like salmon, chicken breast and salads!

    IMG_2515

Kayla 2.0 – I EAT WATEVER I WANT LOL. I sort of give up eating clean because i’m a bit sick of eating salmon and chicken breast T___T. So I stopped eating as clean but I still avoid fat food like fast food, oily or deep fried! I eat a lot of Chai Bar salad for dinner though haha. So from the picture you can easily tell, my tummy not as flat LOL but still acceptable la.

    Workout besides Kayla

    1415685324.076131.IMG_3287

Kayla 1.0 – I focused more on workouts that help to cut fat such as cycling.

    IMG_3011

Kayla 2.0 – I fell in love with doing weights so I joined Jo to work on more on my shoulders and back when I’m off from Kayla.

    DSC00758

because of that, I can slowly see the result of my back and shoulder workout more which I really really like!

I think that’s pretty much on my experiences of Kayla 1.0 and 2.0!

As for the title, yes! I’m restarting Kayla 1.0 even though how much I hate doing cardio because it really helps on burning away of my fat which I have somewhat regained.

I will still continue doing weights with Jo so that the result will be more balanced and also faster, I have not patience lol.

Anyway, I have a few tips for those who are planning to start Kayla BBG guide.

    * Get someone who knows the correct form of doing squats and other exercises. They can help correcting or teaching u the right posture for each workout before starting. I have seen a few people doing squat wrongly and it’s so painful to watch because she/he tot that they are doing it right T_T

    * DO NOT blindly follow whoever you see on Instagram because everyone has different bodies, whatever she or he is doing doesn’t mean it works on you.

    * You dont have to eat super clean, just avoid eating too much carbs, yes even sugar are carbs, full-fat dairy products, oily and fried food, or whatever that may contain these. The trick is choosing the right portion size and eating less fat, and make smart choices! Trust me, I’m not a fan of eating salad or wholemeal products everyday because it’s so meaningless. I want to enjoy food not being tortured.

    * Get a friend or two to start BBG with you and motivate each other!

    * DO NOT skip meals because it will only hurt your health, it doesn’t help to lose weight.

    Last but not least,

    * Keep telling yourself YOU CAN DO THIS!

If you’re restarting or starting Kayla 1.0, lets add oil together!!!!

  • PEDIGREE DENTASTIX – Baby Mode

    Sponsored Post

My furryboy Nacho and I are now in the second week of our Pedigree 30 Days DentaStix Challenge I thought I would update you guys on how he is taking to learning new challenges and tasks, and also his oral health!

    DSC02295

One obvious area of improvement is his breath and oral health. Usually, we do not brush his teeth frequent enough, so his breath usually smells like a fish market, thanks to his salmon diet.

Pedigree Daily DentaStix contains two active ingredients, sodium tripolyphosphate, and zinc sulphate that eases plaque removal and I can start to see improvements in the cleanliness of his teeth.

This makes for more cuddling and kisses for my babyboy and he has definitely noticed this too! He’s much more responsive when I call him over on the couch for cuddles. Before this, he ignores me half the time…

    DSC02303

Nacho has also been more responsive when I try to teach him new tricks or do challenges with him, and his attention span is much longer.

He also responds to my calls much more eagerly, probably expecting his Daily DentaStix, and I’ve also learned that by giving him his DentaStix at different times everyday, he will be much more responsive throughout the day!! Haha, another tip for you guys who are trying to train your dogs!

    DSC02300

Also for this weeks challenge, I’ve been working with him on two specific tasks that aim to train his patience and attention!

Here I’m teaching him to sit on my lap like a little baby, and after multiple attempts, he can now do this for about 10 whole minutes!!!

    DSC02305

The second challenge is for him to learn to hug me, just like a baby! I’ve tried this previously but he always try to jump out of my arms. Now I can even have him hang on to me like a koala and I can remove my arms! Haha, super cute la.

That’s it for this week’s update, so stay tuned for more OK!

  • #BoboinBali – Seminyak & Ulu Watu

Hey everyone! I’ve finally found time to blog about my Bali trip, and I have to say, we took way more pictures than I expected to, haha. Needless to say, I’ve included a fair amount here, but trust me you’ll love them!

    DSC00594

Our flight was at noon, and we arrived in Bali at 3 pm, perfect, as we would be able to check in to our hotel right away.

    DSC00691

    DSC00607

For our first night, we booked IZE Hotel Seminyak, a chic and stylish boutique hotel, complete with full amenities such as rooftop pool & bar, and also lap pool with pool access rooms on the ground floor. The location is super awesome and a short walk to all the happening spots in Seminyak.

All our hotel bookings were made with Expedia.com.my. Expedia provides verified reviews and pictures, not to mention great rates, so you won’t have any unpleasant surprises when making your booking!

    DSC00614

Took a few snaps of my outfit at the rooftop before going out to dinner.

    DSC00624

    DSC00643

    DSC00650

Dinner was at La Plancha right on Seminyak beach, but sadly the sunset that day wasn’t great as the sky was grey and overcast.

    DSC00634

    DSC00635

We order their mini burger and a salad, their food is hmmmm not as good as it looks T_T I was quite angry that we paid so much for a meal like that but I kept reminding myself I’m there for the view.

    DSC00628

    DSC00642

    DSC00626

    DSC00644

I didnt rent any pocket wifi so what we did was to take a lot of pictures and also chill and enjoy the view.

    DSC00672

The weather was pretty much perfect the next morning, and we woke up early to have breakfast in the hotel café.

    DSC00666

You can choose from their buffet or order from the menu and prices are very reasonable! Right after breakfast, I quickly put on my swimsuit underneath and checked out, as we booked a car to take us around for a full day!

    DSC00664

    DSC00656

    DSC00671

We were there pretty early so we get to take a lot of pictures at the restaurant when it’s empty =)

    DSC00673

    DSC00683

    DSC00686

    DSC00655

After breakfast, we took sometime wander around the hotel to take pictures and explore places that we havent been.

    DSC00723

    DSC00724

Our first stop was Blue Point Beach in Uluwatu, and the trek down to the beach is definitely not for the faint hearted or for those with walking difficulties. I seriously thought I might fall down the steps and cliff a few times…

    DSC00709

    DSC00717

After climbing down a lot of steps, you reach a small cove frequented by surfers, and then if you make your way through tiny gaps in the cliff, you will eventually reach a wide beach area. It really is a secret to those who know but if you are really adventurous, you will be rewarded!

    DSC00731

    DSC00728

    DSC00738

    DSC00741

The combination of the cliffs, rocks, and crystal clear water is just amazing!

    DSC00745

Saw some round beach towels online but most were from Australia and pretty expensive so I was super stoked when I found this one back in KL, and cheap too!!!

    DSC00763
    DSC00758

Jo took this with his manual focus 135mm lens, very good job! *Clap*

    DSC00791

After our tanning session we hiked back up the steep steps and had lunch at Delphi Rock Bar, which over looks Blue Point Beach. Alternatively you can head over to Single Fin, another popular spot which is just a few steps away.

    DSC00783

    DSC00788

That’s it for my first entry on Bali, please stay tuned for my next post where I will blog about our next few days and hotel in Ubud!

  • The Extraordinary of Perth – II

This post is a continuation from my previous blogpost on Perth. I have too many nice pictures to share so have to split them into 2 postings =)

DSC09645As usual, woke up early to have breakfast at our hotel, then off we went to visit the superstar wildlife from Australia! Warning sign should give you a hint! Yes, we visited Caversham Wildlife Park in Swan Valley. If you’re visiting with kids, they will love it here because they get to pet and get close with some of the animals.

    DSC09659

The first superstar that we visited at the park was Mr Kangaroo! I met Mr Kangaroo on my last trip to Queensland but I have never seen so many of them!!

    DSC09653

especially those in white!!! Waw I was so popular everyone rushing to kiss my hand lol.

    DSC09908

More coming to kiss my hand! This is what happened in Caversham Wildlife Park, you can pet and take selfies with a Kangaroo or Koala anytime!

    DSC09668

I also took picture with Wombat for the second time but this was the first time I’ve seen such a big Wombat haha.

    DSC09691

    DSC09688

Super frenly and cute Koala named Karen =)

    DSC09674

Spent some time watching the farm show and learned how they shear a sheep.

DSC09677Then bumped into my twins lol cox we’re both wearing the same color hahahhaa.

    DSC09700

    DSC09716

Then we had lunch at Oakover Grounds! If you’re a person who loves wines tasting and also coffee then this is the place for you!

DSC09701We get to visit the factory and see how the make ciders and wines.

DSC09718Besides wine, we also get to see how they roast coffee beans and where they store most of the beans!

    DSC09706

    Cheese platter as appetizer!

    DSC09708 DSC09711 DSC09715

Their pork belly was really good! It’s so juicy and crispy!

IMG_4358The weather was good that day so Karen and I hopped on to the paddle boat to enjoy the weather! In Oakover Grounds you will get to experience fishing, their coffee training room, wine tasting and also paddle boat!

    DSC09731

Then we went for more cheese!!!! We visited Cheese Barrel which is located next to Olive Farm Wines!

    DSC09721

    Say cheeseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    DSC09728

    DSC09725

I really like the environment here, it has a great view from their back yard and you get to enjoy any kind of cheese that you want! I used to enjoy eating cheese with apricot but after visiting Cheese Barrel I found it way better if I eat it with honey!

    DSC09737

The next day, we woke up super early to meet up with our new escort, Mark Jones, at our hotel lobby then off we went to visit Busselton which is approximately 3 hours from Perth city! First place that we visited was Busselton Jetty & Underwater Observatory. We took a short train ride from the port to the observatory, you can either walk or take the train it’s up to you =)

    DSC09756

The observatory is host to a “forest” of vividly-coloured tropical and sub-torpical marine life. More than 300 species of marine life have been recorded beneath the Busselton Jetty! It’s so pretty, you have to see them in real life!

    DSC09760

    DSC09763

Our lunch spot was The Goose and it’s located a short walk from the jetty!

    DSC09764 DSC09765

I had a glass of hoe chocolate to warm my body because it was quite windy at the jetty and a beef burger with fries!

    DSC09768 DSC09770

We also visited Vasse Virgin, where u can find handmade organic soaps or body care! Look at the colorful balls of soaps! I wish I can bring them home and they are perfect gifts for my girl friends!
    DSC09777

I got myself the natural olive oil body polish because it can be used as a body or face scrub!

    DSC09782

    DSC09790

    DSC09794

Then we visited Canal Rocks, the most beautiful place in the region! If you’re here please make sure that you spend min 1 hour here to enjoy the view and take a lot of pictures!! Hehehe

    DSC09796

Our stay in Margaret River was at Darby Park Service Residences Margaret River which is owned by Sime Darby Malaysia! Hahaha,  this residence is perfect for solo travelers or family! It’s located a short walk to many cafes, bars, galleries and gift shops. Hint for those who love grocery shopping because this residence is very near to Target supermarket =)

    DSC09798

After checking in and settling down, we took a short walk to the venue of our dinner which is Elkamo. When we got seated at our table they served us a cotton candy cocktail as refreshment, everyone was quite amazed by how cute the cocktail looks like.

    DSC09800

    More oysters please =)

DSC09803 DSC09805 DSC09808 DSC09809Everything that they served was very yummy especially the main dish which was coconut chicken with rice (Thai fusion) just when I was craving to have rice!

    DSC09811

    IMG_4488

White Elephant Beach Cafe is the reason why I want to revisit Margaret River again in summer, the view, the sea and this restaurant it’s so perfect to just chill and get myself tanned.

    DSC09815

The weather that morning was so cold, if I’m not mistaken it was around 11 c or something. The WA Tourism escort already warned us the weather in Margaret River will be different from Perth city T__T but I didnt bring enough warmer clothing lol.

DSC09817When it’s cold your body needs a lot of food, or that’s my excuse, so I ordered French toast with pudding and a big breakfast lol.

    DSC09826

Breakfast with a view, I dont mind doing it everyday.

DSC09830After breakfast, we went for a Bushtucker Tour.

In the Bushtucker tour you can enjoy flat water canoeing , paddling upstream to visit a number of sites along the riverbank, explore the bush, and walking along the ridge to a cave within the cliff-face. They also provide a lunch that gives you the opportunity to taste a variety of indigenous food and learn about the medicinal properties of plant found within the area.

After exercising, we were brought to Voyager Estate for lunch. Voyager Estate is located in the premium wine producing region of Margaret River, WA. Their vines date back to 1978, just over 10 years after vines were first planted. One thing I love about dining here is that, each dish that they served will be accompanied by a postcard that tells the story of the dish. On the postcard, the name of the dish is written and also the ingredients. It’s such an unique and special way to keep a memory of the dishes that we had. Each dish is also paired with a wine that compliments the dish very well.

On the last day of our trip, we had breakfast at Margaret River Bakery which is just a short walk from our stay. I’m in love with the interior design of this cafe, it’s so homey and cozy! It feels like we were eating at someone’s house.

DSC09906Their teapot is the cutest thing I have ever seen!

It’s about time to head to the airport but before that, we had lunch at Cicerello’s in Mandurah. They are famous for their fish and chips and it’s HUGE! Look at the comparison of my hand and a plate of fish and chips. At first we thought we will be sharing this but nope, they gave us each a plate  T___T. Im not complaining because their tartar sauce is super good and the batter of the fish is just nice and crispy!

Finally, it’s time for us to board the plane home and I was super looking forward to it because we were travelling on AirAsia Premium Flatbed! I can just sleep all the way to Malaysia. If you forgot to get a flatbed when you’re purchasing your ticket dont worry, becasue you can simply upgrade to Flatbed when you’re in the check in counter =)

Last but not least, thanks to AirAsiaX and Western Australia Tourism for this memorable trip! This trip was so relaxing and nice, I was fed with good food every few hours and I have no complains haha.

    IMG_4367

I also need to thank Travel Recommends for providing me with unlimited pocket wifi throughout the trip so that I can keep in touch with Jo all the time and also share pretty pictures with my followers on Instagram.

    Till we meet again, Perth
