#BoboinBali – Seminyak & Ulu Watu

Hey everyone! I’ve finally found time to blog about my Bali trip, and I have to say, we took way more pictures than I expected to, haha. Needless to say, I’ve included a fair amount here, but trust me you’ll love them!

Our flight was at noon, and we arrived in Bali at 3 pm, perfect, as we would be able to check in to our hotel right away.

For our first night, we booked IZE Hotel Seminyak, a chic and stylish boutique hotel, complete with full amenities such as rooftop pool & bar, and also lap pool with pool access rooms on the ground floor. The location is super awesome and a short walk to all the happening spots in Seminyak.

All our hotel bookings were made with Expedia.com.my. Expedia provides verified reviews and pictures, not to mention great rates, so you won’t have any unpleasant surprises when making your booking!

Took a few snaps of my outfit at the rooftop before going out to dinner.

Dinner was at La Plancha right on Seminyak beach, but sadly the sunset that day wasn’t great as the sky was grey and overcast.

We order their mini burger and a salad, their food is hmmmm not as good as it looks T_T I was quite angry that we paid so much for a meal like that but I kept reminding myself I’m there for the view.

I didnt rent any pocket wifi so what we did was to take a lot of pictures and also chill and enjoy the view.

The weather was pretty much perfect the next morning, and we woke up early to have breakfast in the hotel café.

You can choose from their buffet or order from the menu and prices are very reasonable! Right after breakfast, I quickly put on my swimsuit underneath and checked out, as we booked a car to take us around for a full day!

We were there pretty early so we get to take a lot of pictures at the restaurant when it’s empty =)

After breakfast, we took sometime wander around the hotel to take pictures and explore places that we havent been.

Our first stop was Blue Point Beach in Uluwatu, and the trek down to the beach is definitely not for the faint hearted or for those with walking difficulties. I seriously thought I might fall down the steps and cliff a few times…

After climbing down a lot of steps, you reach a small cove frequented by surfers, and then if you make your way through tiny gaps in the cliff, you will eventually reach a wide beach area. It really is a secret to those who know but if you are really adventurous, you will be rewarded!

The combination of the cliffs, rocks, and crystal clear water is just amazing!

Saw some round beach towels online but most were from Australia and pretty expensive so I was super stoked when I found this one back in KL, and cheap too!!!

Jo took this with his manual focus 135mm lens, very good job! *Clap*

After our tanning session we hiked back up the steep steps and had lunch at Delphi Rock Bar, which over looks Blue Point Beach. Alternatively you can head over to Single Fin, another popular spot which is just a few steps away.

That’s it for my first entry on Bali, please stay tuned for my next post where I will blog about our next few days and hotel in Ubud!
