  • Two is Better than One!

    Sponsored Post

Whenever I have dinner or lunch dates with friends I always tell them, “Err can stick to those restaurants that are not so expensive one ah?” You can say that I’m a cheapo la but I dont see the point of spending so much on a meal especially fine dinning. I always end up having to go get fries or roti canai after that.

I don’t mind eating at a restaurant that offers good food at a decent price, probably around RM30 – RM35 per person is perfect for me. The problem is where can you find such a restaurant? Well, I found one that offers affordable pricing in a cozy and comfortable restaurant, that’s TGI Fridays.

The moment I saw their MEAL FOR 2 promotion, I straight away texted Citygal from KampungboyCitygal whether she wants to join me to check out this promotion or not. Citygal is the sweetest because she never says no to my dates before haha. So, off we went to TGI Fridays!

  • 9 Seputeh Lions!

I have a little confession to make this festive season, I have a thing for lion dance, or you can say that I’m a little obsessed with it. Whenever I see or hear a lion dance performance, I will hunt it down by following the sound of the drums and make sure that I finish watching the performance, if not I wont leave. The sad thing about watching lion dance performances is that I only get to watch it from far, I don’t get to touch or watch it closely! I want to touch it because Chinese believe touching its head will bring you good luck hahaha, so I’m super competitive over it ok.

Anyway, I was telling Jo the other day no matter what I have to watch a least one lion during Chinese New Year, he was like, “We will hunt down those lion dance trucks lol.” Well, my wish came true, I had a chance to take selfies and watch lion dance performances, 3 times in a single day and nope, we didn’t have to drive around hunting down those truck. This golden opportunity was given to me by 9Seputeh, a property development by MRCB Land. I was invited by 9Seputeh to join in on the fun celebrating Chinese New Year with the winners of their contest, along with their families.

Besides that, I also got to hang out with the pretty girl, Careen. This was our third meet up and we had so much fun talking to each other. Meeting up with her is one thing, however being together and going places to bring smiles to the lucky winners faces’ was an experience I will never forget any time soon!

  • Driver of The Day with Ford Fiesta

    Sponsored Post

Remember my previous post about the Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost test drive? Well that finally happened and thanks so much to those who were willing to place their lives in my hands on a Saturday afternoon for taking a ride with me haha. The moment I received this advertorial I told Jo I’m bringing him along because boys like cars and I also told him he is more than welcome to bring his car buddy, Meng Fai with him.

My test drive session was on Saturday at 3pm. The weather wasn’t being friendly at all haha. It started raining the moment I reached the Ford showroom = =” I was jokingly saying, “Is ok la, this new Ford Fiesta got rain sensing automatic wiper. It’s all under control.”

DSC05270 Taadaahh my ride of the day! I’m more like a girly kinda of girl so I always look at red colored cars only. My own car is red in color and I’m the only person in my family that drives a red car, the rest of them prefer black or white. Surprisingly, I kinda like the new Ford Fiesta in black, it kinda has an aggressive look about it.

  • My Last Bangkok Trip in 2014

My forth visit to Bangkok in 2014! I can never get bored of Bangkok, there is way too mnay places to discover and too much delicious food to try! Jo always manages to find new places or food for me to try. It’s awesome to have a travel partner that’s more than willing to do research on the places that we are heading to.

Usually he will do all the research then forward it to me, then we will plan our itinerary on the day itself. I dont like planning ahead because you will never know what to expect when you travel. I love being spontaneous! The other day while we were on the way to work   I was like, “Lets check if MAS got sale to BKK.” Guess what, it was RM350 two ways per pax, without any hesitation I straight away clicked PURCHASE! It’s perfect because some of our frens will be travelling to BKK on the same days so we can meet up!

As for hotels, I always try to stay in different hotels when I visit Bangkok! I’m still trying to find one hotel that is perfect for all my Bangkok holidays lol. This time we stayed in Courtyard By Marriott, it’s located behind the famous four-faced Buddha shrine. I like staying in this area because it’s really near to Siam Square, 1 station away! You can choose to walk on the bridge or take BTS. The rate of their room is around RM330/ night, the room is pretty clean and new.

    Day 1

DSC05137I totally forgot to take pictures of the room so this is the only one I have hahahhaha.

Went to the gym earlier and while waiting for Jo to finish his workout, I walked over to the Gardens, hoping that my usual telco store had an iPhone 6 in stock. I’m starting to hate that damn board where they list what models are in stock and what not. Every time sure, “Not Available”, “Not Available”, “Not Available”, until I also starting to give up. Sigh. My iPhone 4s is already close to giving up already, how?!

Then last night Jo’s cousin mentioned to me, “why not buy online?”.  He got his in 3 days, but then I wanted to buy one on contract so I don’t have to pay so much, hahaha, ‘kiam siap’.

So, that got me thinking, and I went online to check out a few sites. Did you guys know, Digi is having a year end sale called “Jualan Terhebat”!?? OMG, I think I’m the last to know, because I’m not very up to date when it comes to technology and toys, haha.  Anyway, customers who sign up during “Jualan Terhebat” will get free extra 2,400 mins and 2,400 SMS. In addition to that, customers, like me, who are switching over to Digi will receive rebates up to RM200!

    1

Scrolled down the site looking for MY iPhone 6 and keep rolling through rows and rows of free phones! You can get a Xiaomi Redmi Note LTE, or Samsung GALAXY Grand Prime, or even a ASUS Zenphone 5 for free! Seriously got me thinking whether I really need a iPhone 6 or not, but nevermind, I didn’t wait this long for nothing.

    2

They had it! Hahaha, my iPhone 6 was waiting for me! It was only RM1,181 with the 148 plan, saving me over RM1,600 for the phone! The most important thing was, they have it in stock!!!

3One bad thing about sticking with one telco for too long is that, I didn’t realize how much cheaper Digi’s plans are. Starting with the DG SmartPlan 78, you only need to commit RM78 per month, and that comes with 3GB of internet, 100 mins and 100 SMS. The DG SmartPlan 148 that I mentioned requires a monthly commitment of RM148 per month, and comes with 6GB of internet, 600 mins and 600 SMS. The plans even come with extras such as unlimited Whatsapp, free Norton Security, free Deezer, and unlimited weekend calls between Digi.

So much internet and call quota, I don’t even need to worry about streaming movies in the gym! Hahaha.
