I always love the feeling of waking up early during vacations because you know if you wake up earlier, you can see more and you have plenty of time to be wasted.

So, we woke up real early on day 2, I got up at 6am to pack and get ready. Our Day 2 schedule was to join the local tour to 3 different islands including Phi Phi Island.

Our stays included breakfast in the Sea Breeze cafe.

I love having buffet for breakfast, a large variety of choices and bottomless juices. Especially in Malaysia they serve nasi lemak, cury mee and etc…. *thumbs up*

In Thailand, they served PORK~ omg I love pork, super delicious!

While having buffet I always take a little bit of everything so I can narrow down which should I eat more in the 2nd round and maybe third. I always end up having lot of eggs and noodles.

Right after breakfast, we went straight to our hotel lobby to wait for a pick up to the port. Their time management is really really good, they never showed up late or early. They showed up at 8am sharp as written on the itinerary. We travelled for 45 minutes to the port and we were separated into a few different groups.

Jo and I were in the purple group, we were given a purple sticker because we will be traveling with a speedboat instead of a normal big boat which will take around 2 hours to get to Phi Phi Island. After getting the sticker we got sent to an empty hall to wait for a few other tourists. Once everyone was gathered, we were given some short instructions on safety while snorkeling. Those were normal instructions such as making sure that we keep track of the time, wearing a safety jacket and taking motion sickness pills that they provided.

After around 30 minutes of waiting, we were finally asked to leave the room and headed to the port to get on board. I took the opportunity to apply some sun block and take pictures.

The journey from the main port to our first destination took around 1 hour. I got so bored in the boat because we were forced to sit separately, I fell asleep for a while then I got up and camwhored then fell back asleep again.

We passed by this mini little island and I was so excited cox I thought we’re close to our destination but nope we were 40 minutes away.

I got so bored so I went over to JO’s seat and took a few pictures of us. ( ignore my heavy eye bags and dark circles )

Finally after an hour of traveling , we were finally here at Maya Bay. The Beach which starred Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed here.

Personally, I think tourists sometime should learn to be polite or at least learn to line up. While I was about to step up to the board to take a picture, there was a couple from China who ran towards the board without realizing I’m actually standing there waiting for Jo to click the shutter. They kinda stood there and took 100 hours to take 3 shots, r u fucking kidding me! I don’t really like tourists from China or Hong Kong they are all rude, they always give me the feeling of them coming out from a kampung and have never seen anything I mean ANYTHING before. Im so sorry maybe Im being stereotypical but trust me I have never met any of them who are polite or nice.

Once I stepped out from our boat I was like 0.0 the beach was crowded with super lot of tourists. It was so scary to see so many people gathered in a small area, I couldn’t find a quiet spot to sit down and enjoy the view.

We were given around 30 minutes to walk around the beach and take pictures.

So, we managed to find a spot to sit down and take some pictures without having tourists as my background.

Then the tour guide brought us to another island where they harvested bird nests. Sorry for the very rough details, this is a punishment for me because I always day dream when tour guides tell us about the history of the places I’m visiting. Im not a very good tourist, I dont really listen to them but at least I know how to line up, hohoho.

Our next destination was Monkey Island. They called it Monkey Island because the island is full of monkeys, literary.

The monkeys were really smart if you give them peanuts and a banana to choose between, they will choose peanuts. Apple and banana? Apple for sure. This is the first time I heard that Monkeys don’t eat bananas.

We were given peanuts to feed the monkeys. I found out some of the tourists gave them Pepsi and the monkey drank it like a human, from a cup, super smart.

While everyone was busy feeding the monkeys….

I took my time to feel the softness of the sand, it felt like I was standing on 1000 of cotton balls.

I found a swing and took a picture with it. I wonder if they built this purposely for the monkeys, a little playground for them during the night because they are all busy during day time as a tourist attraction.

Off we went to lunch, my favorite time of the day, food!

Lunch was complimentary in our tour and we had buffet. Tom Yam, fried chicken, spaghetti and vege. Their tom yam and fried chicken was really really delicious. I love cheap and simple food, they always satisfy me.

We took a little walk around Phi Phi Island, they were selling the similar stuff back in Phuket but cheaper.

For our final destination, the tour guide brought us to this little island for us to swim, snorkel and relax.

You will have to pay before sitting on these beach chairs. We had no choice but to pay it because …

… the weather was burning hot.

I took a tiny little nap and then went off to take pictures by the sea and also swim.

The water was really clear and the weather was prefect for pictures. Jo and I decided to go for a swim after our little picture session, so we went to our boat and grab goggles for snorkeling. We went into the water and swam a while till we saw a freaking snake in the water! I shouted and pushed Jo far away from me cause the snake was just right beside Jo, it was so scary. After the snake incident, I told Jo I would prefer to stay on the beach and get tanned.

It was time to leave and head back to Phuket. We left the little Island at around 3pm and reached the mainland at 4pm. After a whole day of snorkeling, traveling in a speed boat and tanning, I felt so tired and hungry.

I haven’t had time to swim in their hotel pool yet so we decided to just head back to our room, get changed and head out to the pool for a little while before dinner. We spent no more than 1 hour soaking in the pool and I was starving, so we decided to just wash up and head out to have dinner.

We walked around Patong Beach to look for a decent restaurant for our last night in Phuket.

We were craving for Thai cuisine, so we decided on Papaya.

At the end of the night, we were supposed to go out for a drink at Bangla street but we ended up falling asleep and waking up next morning.

It’s always fun to write a post on vacations, it makes you reminisce it. Yes, Im back from my little getaway with Jo. I have been wanting to visit Thailand since I was studying in the States.

And now my dream has come true. A few months back AirAsia was having a promotion, cheap airfares to Phuket, so why not? We booked our trip 2 months ago and ta da! The long awaited weekend was finally here.

Guess which is mine? Yes, both of them on the right… I really need to learn how to pack lightly and wisely.

I managed to take a quick shot of the airplane before boarding.

Some of my frens kept telling me their nasi lemak is really good and worth trying. So we decided to have our breakfast in the flight instead.

Unfortunately, they only served Nasi Lemak sotong in our aircraft so we changed to Chicken Briyani.

After 1 hour and 15 minutes, we’re finally here…

We checked into our room and then we instantly fell asleep. After 3 hours of napping, we went out to have lunch.

The minute we stepped out of our hotel, it started to rain. The wind was so strong and scary.

I was so mad at the grainy  day.

We took a short walk around Patong Beach, looking for a local restaurant that served yummy thai food.

Thai milk tea is the best! The first thai milk tea I had was back in the States, it was too sweet cause American LOVES everything that contains a lot of sugar. After trying this one, I fell back in love with it.

I am not a fan of spicy food but I’m in love with Thai cuisine. Im considering moving to Thailand in the future, any company who wants to hire me? Maybe it’s not a good idea to write about my trip during lunch break, Im starving!

After lunch we headed to McD to have their Milk tea float, super delicious! Trust me, I had this 3 days straight, day and night!

We went into Patong Shopping Paradise but the minute I walked in all I can see was pubs. Im pretty sure they named the place wrongly, it should be named as Patong Drinking Paradise instead.

Their electrical cables are really scary.

The weather starting to turn dark and it rained again… We ran back to our hotel but before that we stopped by their local mini mart to buy some snacks and drinks. We also managed to book a tour to Phi Phi Island and also tickets for their famous show, Simon Cabaret.

After an hour of waiting, it was time for dinner.

We headed out to have dinner and decided to have Mcd. I always choose to have Mcd during vacations because I’m a super fan of McD and also I believe Mcd tastes different in different countries. So far, I have tried Mcd in London, Paris, Mexico, Taiwan, Thailand, US, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Having Mcd when travel is one of my habits, albeit an unhealthy habit.

Dinner was satisfying, fast food always satisfies me. We went back to our room to get changed and went to hotel lobby to wait for our ride to Simon Cabaret, a famous show in Phuket.

Got there half and hour early to pick up our tickets. We got ourselves the VIP seats for a better view.

Frankly speaking, the show was the most boring show I have ever watched. It was full of dancing and singing with no storyline, the first 2 performances caught my attention and then during the 3rd one I was starting to get bored and was looking around for the Exit. The 4th song Jo told me that he fell asleep, then the 5th I lost all my attention until “DawnYang” came out to sing a mandarin song.

We were allowed to take pictures with your favorite girl in the hallway after the show.

The pink girl is one of my favorites too.

Im not sure about you guys but I really think that she looks like Dawn Yang, I look so manly standing beside her.

The first day was tiring but fun,we went back to rest quite early cause next day will be a long long day.

Im currently busy with my work, will definitely blog about my trip soon.

I’m in love with Thailand especially their food and their culture is really different from us…

I was supposed to blog about my Miami trip 2 months ago, so this is long overdue. I have been super busy moving my stuff into my new place and also trying to make Nacho shut up when I’m away. Another reason for not updating my blog was because my new place had no internet connection. I’ve already applied for Streamyx but they told me to wait for 2 weeks. fml

So, back to my original post…

I was in Miami trick.

I was pretty excited when I was on our flight to Miami, I’ve always wanted to go there. Sexy ladies, gorgeous beaches and shopping! After 3 days of staying in New Orleans we took a night flight from New Orleans to Miami. In case u forgot about my new orleans trip, click here , here and here.

Took a picture of Miami from the sky. I couldn’t remember what time we reached Miami Airport but Im pretty sure it was quite late cox by the time we got to our hotel all the restaurants were closed and they were cleaning our hotel lobby.

So we checked into our room and I took a few snap shots of it. I love the color of our room, it makes the room look super clean and tidy.

After settling down in our room, we headed out to have late dinner in a nearby 24hours restaurant. They have the biggest menu I have ever seen, and they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper.

I was too tired, so I ordered chicken noodle soup.

Jo had a Chicken frisco melt with fries and coleslaw. After dinner we were too tired to walk around so we headed back to our room to get some rest.

Next morning, the weather was pretty good, it was sunny with slight breeze. We took a short walk around South Beach and looked for a nice restaurant to have breakfast.

Jo did a little bit of research back home and he suggested  a famous breakfast place just a few blocks down from our hotel, News Cafe.

We had to wait in a line because we chose to sit outside. I realized that I enjoyed outdoor activities much more when I was in the States than in Malaysia.

After a short while, we were brought to our table and it was just right in front of the restaurant and the main road.

I always order breakfast that has eggs, especially sunny side ups so I ordered a normal american breakfast and Jo ordered a grilled chicken burger.

I enjoyed having meal outside, everything was prefect

We took a short walk around South Beach right after our breakfast.

We also took a little morning walk around the beach.

Jo took this picture of me staring at the sand… I got a little emotional cox the weather was a little bit chilly wtf.

Then we walked past Versace’s crib , incase you didn’t know, he got killed in front of his house.

This is the hotel we stayed in when we were there, the Penguin Hotel located at South Beach, Miami. After our short walk around the beach, we headed back to our room to get changed. It’s time to hit the city!!

We went to Lincoln Road where they have a lot of local shops and coffee shops.

After this trip, palm trees always remind me of Miami.

Finally we have a picture of us together, the only disadvantage of traveling by ourselves.

I suggested we should hang out at the beach during sunset. So we went back to get changed into beach wear and off we went.

It was quite windy and cold by the time we got there, so everyone was leaving.

It was quite cold so I was forced to wear my sweater instead.

We went back to our room and got some rest, then we went out to have dinner at a local Mexican restaurant. They served the best nachos and tacos in town!

Jo suggested we should have a couple of drinks before heading back to our room so we decided in this “glow in the dark” pub.

We did quite a lot of stuff just for day one, and I found out that there is nothing much to do in Miami besides getting yourself tanned or drunk.
