  • “Balik Kampung” Day 3

This will be the shortest entry in my “Balik Kampung” entries. The night before, I slept at around 2.30am and the next day I had to wake up at 8.am, it was so torturing. My eyes could barely open when I was brushing my teeth. It made me feel like I was in some training camp back in School.

Anyway, after washing up I felt much better and awake so I went back to my room, put on make up, changed and got ready to go.

    Jie and I.

    We had lunch at Uehara.

Personally I dont like Miso soup but this tasted a little bit different, not bad.

Thats all for Day 3’s post because I was too lazy to take out my camera throughout the rest of day, Im so sorry. We went back to Aunt’s place and hung out, watched movies and chit chat. After that we went shopping with mum and all the girls but dad and uncle stayed home and took a nap.

After all I was there to visit my family so we didn’t do what tourists normally do but I’ve already been to most of the places more than twice. So, I think thats pretty much about it for day 3.

  • “Balik Kampung” Day 2

We spent our 2nd day in Taiwan travelling around from 9am – 1am.

Woke up at around 8am. Yes I always wake up really early when Im with my parents cause I have a mum who keeps saying that sleeping is just a waste of time. What to do, no matter what time I slept the night before I will still have to wake up at 8am. 9 am is already considered late. Please don’t complain if your mum wakes u up at 10am.

    克林姆之屋,台南

My aunt’s bakery shop. If you have a chance to visit Tainan, feel free to stop by her bakery and try out her cakes. They are all my favorites!

Jie and I were all ready to go!

We had breakfast at Mum’s favorite restaurant, YUM.

I ordered an American breakfast set and it started with a yogurt with honey syrup on top.

Ham, bread, scrambled eggs and a little salad on the side.

Sis had croissant with potato salad.

    Iced black tea

Dad’s Iced Coffee with whipped cream on top

It always feels good when you’re walking down the road surrounded by Mandarin billboards, it makes me feel more like HOME.

Mum said I used to travel around sitting on the exact same motorcycle with a lil chair in front with my grandma when I was young. After breakfast we walked from the breakfast place to my aunt’s house, my mum said it was just nearby so we walked.

Reached Aunt’s place and had a lot of yummy food for lunch. Sticky rice with peanut, love!

    Sushi!

    yummmm

    Chit chat session!

    meat balls soup!

My cousin’s afraid of getting tanned so she carried her umbrella everywhere we went.

Got home at around 1 a.m and I was already exhausted.

  • “Balik Kampung” Day 1

    Hey guys! I’m back.

So sorry for the lack of updates, I’ve been very busy with my work and trying to take some days off from blogging. The only reason is because I was organizing all my pictures I took in Taiwan. Thanks for those who FormSpring-ed me and reminded me to write about my Taiwan trip. So right now, I’ll write about my day 1 in Taiwan.

Most of you might think that I went to Taiwan for a holiday but nope. I actually went back to visit my relatives which I’ve not seen in 2 years. Hehe I know most of you prefer to look at pictures rather than reading, and so do I. So I’ll just put up some pictures with captions.

So jie jie and I bought the normal tickets for AirAsia and my parents bought the premier seats. I regretted when I saw the premier seats in the flight. Jie jie was like nvm we’re young so these seats are fine for us. Half an hour later, she regretted. The reason was one of the kids in the plane was shouting and running around. For me, running around is fine for me cox if there is turbulence he will be the one who falls and hurts himself, not my problem. HE FUCKING SHOUTED IN THE FLIGHT! Imagine a boy shouting non-stop beside you when u’re trying to catch some sleep. OMG, those parents with kids like him please make sure that you feed your kids with some sleeping pills before you board the flight, he was so irritating. I was so pissed and I stared at his parents and shook my head real hard to show them my annoyance. You guys have the responsibility to teach him! For your information, he is around 7-8, old enough to learn what is right and wrong. The worse thing was the grandpa giving him candies to calm him down but guess what he turned into a monster. Kids cant handle the sugar level it will make him even more hyper. *shake head* *fainted*

Their seats are pretty comfy it’s way better than United Airlines =D

I was freezing because I was too smart, I chose to wear shorts instead. Thank god dad bought liquor and they gave out free jackets!

I was so comfy but I couldn’t fall asleep due to the stupid alarm running around beside me and jie jie.

Jie jie was so mean, she bought herself a sandwich and she teased me by saying what if they don’t serve nasi lemak??? 0.0

yes, they didn’t serve nasi lemak but nasi briyani. Aikssssss when can I try their nasi lemak? So frustrated!

After 4 hours and 25 minutes of being tortured by the kid, we finally arrived in Taipei, Taiwan

We took their airport shuttle from the airport to the train station. It was only 3 bucks, not tat bad.

Then we took the High-speed rail from Taoyuan to Tainan, our final destination. The price was RM115 per adult and I think it’s a little bit expensive.

    Waited for 15 minutes….

Jie and parents with all our luggages.

Me and my parents with the luggages hehehe

    Train arrived in high speed.

We spent 10 minutes arranging the luggages cause we had too many of them. So, we had to move ppl’s stuff around just to make sure they can see it and get it easily.

The interior is really clean, comfortable seats and a lots of space for your legs.

Jie and I spent the whole time playing games.

and eating snacks we bought on the train.

Took a picture with their vending machine inside the train.

They have the cleanest toilet on any other public transportation that I have ever travelled in.

After 1 hour and 15 mins, we were finally in Tainan. It was faster than I can ever imagin cause I know if we drive from Taoyuan to Tainan, it will take us 4 hours. Aunt picked us up from the terminal and off we went to makan!!!

My favorite apple soda of all time!

    悶豬肉steamed pork with spring onion

    Fried octopus ball

    Fish & glass noodle soup

    steamed crabs

I finally met grandpa (日本爺爺) and his manager who came all the way from Japan for a short visit. I was so happy when Grandpa says ” Bobo, You look like a Japanese.” That made my night, hahaha. A random taxi driver in the airport asked me if I was from SiChuan (四川)…fml

85*c they serve the best bubble tea in town! Love it

Got home at around 9pm, had a small little chocolate cake baked by my aunt and we called it the day.

    I was exhausted and dirty.

To be continued … till then.

  • Away

Hey my beloved readers, I’ll be away for a little while, 7days to be exact.

Guess where I am going this time??

    GOOD FOOD

    GOOD WEATHER

    SHOPPING PARADISE

    Nope, not Bangkok

Im going back my 2nd hometown- Taiwan for a week with my family.

I’m so excited!!! Another getaway with my loved ones, away from the office and work!

Woooot, I love to travel around, no matter if it is far or near, especially when I’ve started working.

My flight is tomorrow morning at 10am and I will be back on Thursday night.

    Well till then…

    Have a great weekend, love!

  • Our little getaway ♥ It’s time to head home

Last day of our trip was very very relaxing, no rush to catch our flight, no busy packing and no waking up early. The schedule of the day was to have breakfast at Breeze cafe then enjoy the rest of the day at the beach.

After breakfast we headed back to our room to change into our swimwear and off we went to the beach.

Same as yesterday, we had to pay 15 bucks for 2 chairs and an umbrella.

The weather was super gorgeous! Sunny day and really hot, best for sun tanning!

    Hat- F21

    Swim wear – H&M

This is my favorite shot of the day.

    O and this too!

This thing I most enjoyed was that they sold all types of  food by the beach. You wont have to walk around to look for food cause they will come to u.

We bought chicken tenders with thai chili dipping sauce.

Then Jo saw someone selling mango and he loves mango, so he ordered one too.

It was really sweet and juicy.

Then I bought myself an ice cream…

The lady at the next chair was so kind to offer to help us take a picture cause she was looking at us trying to take a picture by ourselves.

I wonder how do they stay cool wearing so much walking around the beach and under the sun. By the way, I was laughing at the girl who was holding an umbrella at the beach. Come on, if you want to come to the beach, throw ur umbrella away.

After spending 3 hours at the beach, we were pretty much tanned enough and was ready to head back to our room and start packing our things. Before that, we enjoyed a little swimming session at the pool.

Washed up and off to the town to grab some yummy street food.

    First taste was beef noodles..

It tasted really good, the only bad thing about it was that it wasn’t hot enough.

I was super amazed at how they converted  their tricycles into a little kitchen, very smart.

Little girl who follows her mum around instead of going to school, cute.

I had a chicken leg, super yummy.

    Juicy chicken leg!

Then we went into a local mall and spent the rest of the time in the mall, the reason? It was too hot, burning hot! I couldn’t stand it anymore. An hour before our airport transport came to pick us up, we headed to the gorcery store and got ourselves some local snacks.

Off to the airport to head back to Malaysia. I had lots of fun in this trip, I will definitely go back to Thailand, maybe as soon as the end of this year? I love their food, their culture and the weather was awesome for tanning. Besides that, It’s great that I got to take a little break from everything; from working to paying bills and stuff, you get what I mean. Im starting to fall in love with staying in Malaysia because I can travel around without it costing me a bomb. Yes this is the only reason why I love Malaysia. Yucks to all the politics and racism.

Well, I think Im pretty much done with my little getaway post. O yea I nearly forgot about posting “whats inside my bag.” Will do it during the weekends, till then Bye!
