  • Kayla’s BBG – Week 1 – 3

If you didn’t know, I have joined Celebrity Fitness for more than 8 months already and I try going to the gym at least 3-4 times a week. I usually go right after work because it’s a perfect place to release the stress I get from work.

A few of my friends and family members asked me why I need to go to the gym or diet since I’m already so slim. I might look slim but I’m actually quite fat and my body is seriously out of shape with all my bad eating habits. There is only one purpose of hitting the gym, it’s to tone up my body and maintain my ideal weight.

Joining the gym is fun because you get to workout with friends and each of you will motivate/support each other. It’s a good place to gather some positive energy haha. At first I tot it’s good enough to just hit the gym at least 4 times a week then it will work its magic on my body. I usually will attend classes like Fastfit, TRx and a lot of different cycling classes. My weight is still maintained and I dont really see any difference in my body besides being a little bit toner than before. The problem with this is that when you see how your body can change by just sweating and working out, you start to get addicted to it. I want to know how much better I can do and I want to see bigger changes in my body. I want abs and muscle definition on my hands and legs instead of flabby meat.

That’s when I started to realize eating habits and my diet plays the most important role. When I started going to the gym I tend to eat more because I keep thinking, “the reason to workout is to be able to enjoy more food”. This thinking is obviously wrong because you wont know how much calories you have consumed until you actually start to count it. You will have to burn more calories compared to what you had. Do you know to burn 1 medium french fries you will have to run for 49mins or cycle for 1 hour and 15 mins. So imagine nasi lemak or 1 burger meal from McD?  You will have to run or cycle for more than tat! OMG, if you go to the gym too then you should be able to understand how tiring it is to just eat a damn medium fries!

  • 4D3N In Nagoya, Japan

    Sponsored Post

I have never thought that I will get to visit Japan again after my previous trip in Oct, 2013. Japan has become one of my favorite places to visit after my first trip back in 2012. I like how well developed the people, the place, and the culture, are. Since I have already been to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, I really wanted to visit some other city in Japan. So, when I was told that I got to go to Nagoya for a 4D3N trip, I was beyond happy! The most exciting thing about this trip is that I get to travel with a few blogger friends like Citygal and Audrey! A 4D3N trip is more than enough for me to shop and eat in Nagoya. Since I spent most of my time visiting shopping malls and drug stores I shall share the places that I went to during my trip.

This blogpost will be slightly different from my other travel because it’s more informative, and I will try to list down the places that I visited, the hotel I stayed in and how much I spent there! To those who thinking about visiting or even planning your trip, I hope my post will help you pull the trigger on that booking!

Just like my previous trips to Japan, I traveled with Airasia because there is a direct flight from KUL to Nagoya (6 hours 40min) and the flight time is perfect because it leaves KUL in the morning and reaches Nagoya just in time for dinner.

Our Japanese client was sweet enough to pre-book our meal, duvet and comfort kit to keep us comfy on the 6 hour flight. We were pretty lucky because the flight to Nagoya wasn’t full so we get to occupy 3 seats for ourselves to sleep! With the comfort kit and duvet, we created our own first class in economy class hahaha.

  • Macau Trip Photo Diary I

    Sponsored Post

Alo, I’m back from our trip to Macau together with Jo, Tian Chad and Kyspeaks! Decided to write this post immediately so I wont forget any details and start skipping stuff, hehe. Thanks again to Nuffnang for the chance to travel abroad to a new destination and thanks to Macau Government Tourist Office as well.

We took so many pictures during this trip and it was hard for me to only include a few so I’ll do this in a photo diary style post ya! Picture overload coming your way, please mind your data usage rate, lol!

Overall, I can say I had loads of fun during this trip and it was a good chance for me and Jo to have a short break from work.

  • DO NOT Read This If You’re Hungry

Remember I mentioned that I went back to Taiwan for a few days with my mum in May? I am finally done arranging all the pictures, then I realized the pictures I took in Taiwan are all of FOOD. Yes, just food and my face la of course…

Whenever I meet someone who’s been to Taiwan, the first thing they tell me is “I ate a lot in Taiwan!” or “Taiwan food is super awesome yummy!” I cant agree more on this… Even Kampung Boy City Gal said the same thing but they continued with ” Have u been to Hua Lian? or Taizhong?” I was like “Err no….” It’s quite embarrassing to tell people that my mum is a Taiwanese when I have only been to Kaohsiung (it’s because I always land in Kaohsiung airport ==”), Tainan (most of relatives stay there) and Taipei even though I visit Taiwan twice a year, ever since I was born … Even KBCG explored more places in Taiwan than me hahaha.

I always get stuck at home when I’m back in Taiwan, it’s just like how I get stuck in my hometown when I go back during the holidays LOL. There is nothing much to do there because most of my cousins are working and some are studying in the US. I only get to hang out with my mum, grandma and watch TV haha. The things that I look forward to is breakfast, lunch and dinner, and this only happens in Taiwan.

Since I spent most of my days eating, watching TV and sleeping throughout the trip, I decided to focus my Taiwan post on FOOD and maybe a few selfies as some sort of commercial break? Yes? No?

Food in Tainan is seriously cheap, so if you are planning on a small-budget trip you can consider Taiwan as the spending expenses is quite affordable.

    Are you ready?

My uncle brought us to this restaurant that sells fish balls and minced meat rice. Their rice is steamy hot and the minced meat is super tender!! You have to mix it together with the rice so that the flavour of the minced meat is not too overpowering! I love it when they put fried dough into the soup!

  • Autumn in Tokyo (Days 1 & 2)

I remember the last time we were in Tokyo for our wedding shoot, there was a typhoon and this time we experienced another typhoon in Tokyo too ==”

So basically during the first 2-3 days in Tokyo, we had to carry an umbrella with us all the time. One thing I was really happy with during our stays there was the temperature. The temperature was just nice, not too cold or hot. A sweater or a light jacket is good enough so it’s perfect for dressing up. This time I’m quite smart because I finally learnt to pack light, I only brought 1 pair of heels and a pair of flats then 10 outfits for 10 days in Japan! NO extra outfits whatsoever!

The purpose of this trip is actually for work; there is a health & safety exhibition in Osaka so my dad decided to just send me there to meet up with our suppliers and take a look at the exhibition. Like I said, when it comes to Japan, work 24/7 also never mind. We only have to work for 3-4 days in Japan and another 6 days was plainly for shopping and sightseeing hahaha…

    photo 1 (6)

Landed safely and Japan welcomed me by making sure my bum was warm and clean hahaha. First pic I took when I landed in Tokyo, there are a lot of buttons to press for just a toilet right ==’ Ok something funny/bimbo happened to me in the next few days. I was in our supplier’s factory and I had to go to the toilet after a meeting, so as usual I just do watever business I did in the toilet. When I was done, I stood up and I tot it was an automatic toilet but NOTHING happened! So I was like WTF which button now!!! (There were only japanese words/symbols on the controller) I think I spent like fucking 5 mins looking for the “flush” button T___T When I was about to give up I was like I’m going to just press every single button! Luckily the first button I pressed, it flushed ==” The moment I came out from the toilet my supplier was like “R U OK?” I was like “YEAH, couldn’t find the flush button…” Only happens in Japan. I felt so dumb or “kampung” when I was in Japan.
