I was invited to Chenelle’s birthday party the other day and the theme of her party was “Shanghai”. When it comes to themes or dress code parties, I will never disappoint the host because I’m IN LOVE with themed parties! I love dressing up in different/unique outfits that we dont get to wear on a everyday basis. Her party was held in “Grand Shanghai” in Setia Walk, Puchong! This place is seriously a place for people who love TVB dramas lol. Every corner of this place is picture worthy! Super awesome place that everyone should visit!Note: To those who are thinking to do a little photoshoot in GrandShanghai pls take note ya! They dont allow photography in Grand Shanghai T__T I just found out on the spot while I was shooting lol. They have their own photographer that you can hire to take pictures, so dont bother bringing ur DSLR there ya. I think point and shoots should be fine la because we took pictures with a big DSLR fully equipped with flash and light box so they stopped us. =)
A few days before receiving the invitation, I was telling Jo I should get myself a Cheongsam for Chinese New Year since I have never worn a Cheongsam before, besides for our wedding la. Then I came across Ame’s Fashion Hightea, a fashion boutique that can be found throughout MALAYSIA. Their main outlet is based in Sg. Long, Kajang and you can also purchase their items online through their Facebook page.
I purposely curled my hair to look like the girl in the poster behind hahahahaha. I wanted to put on a flower as my hair accessory but JO stopped me ==”
One thing I like about AME’s Cheongsam collection is that they are all designed and manufactured by themselves so the sizes of their cheongsams starts from XS to XXL! You can now get one for your mother so that you girls can wear the exact same outfit on CNY!!! Hehehe you dont have to worry if you’re a petite girl because AME’s has it covered!
I matched my red cheongsam with a pair of white heels and a pearl bracelet. My plan is to look like a rich Tai Tai so I think I succeeded! Hahha
I dont really have a white pearl clutch that can go well with this outfit so I used my Chanel bag. I shortened the chain of the bag so it looks like a small briefcase hehehehe. I look like those businesswomen in TVB dramas right!!! HAHAHA I seriously go all out when it comes to dressing up!
This caption should be, “On my way to another mahjong session with my tai tai friends” LOL
Red lips, chubby hands and curly hair is a must for Shanghai women LOL
