  • Bonding with Bff

“Im motivated to blog so I have to complete an entry by today!” This is what I told myself when I was editing my pictures.

A little update on my current job…

Im currently learning how to draw 3 different types of pallets to put on our company’s brochure. It might look easy to you but trust me I’ve spent more than 2 hours trying to figure out how to draw it using the rectangular Marquee tool in Adobe Photoshop. Just to make it clear I didn’t major in Graphics or Design, so mind me.

Last Saturday Bff and I decided to have lunch and a shopping session in Pavilion. I remember the last time we went to Pavilion was a few months ago! Bff suggested to have chili Pan Mee in KL and I’m also a super fan of chili pan mee so why not? We went to the one in KL named KinKin. I was told that this is the original pan mee not Super kitchen. They both taste the same to me so it doesnt really matter who started first, as long as it’s chili pan mee Im fine with it!

This is my fav picture of the day! My parents say we look alike! What do you guys think??

    NO PICTURES WHILE SHOPPING

The “Beeping UFO” description on the top is really funny and humorous. When I first saw it in the US, I was so amazed by it’s function.

Went to Snowflakes to have dessert

More pictures of me and bff

Black and white stripes! We wore the same colors, great minds think alike!

Red beans, peanuts and pearls with grass jelly and shaved ice is Jo’s favorite dessert.

Bff’s. You must be wondering where is mine. I dont really like desserts and ice cream, I dont know why but people tend to say girls love desserts but this doesnt apply to me at all. I always stare at Jo when he is enjoying his dessert.

Jo and I outside Cotton On.

After coming out from Forever21 something strange happened. I had this lingering feeling that I would bump into my mum in Pavilion. Guess what, I saw her walking towards me right after we passed by Parkson. I was like ” Ma! Why r u here?” She was like” Yes, ur dad is meeting up with his frens so I tagged along.” What a big big surprise. My sixth sense is super accurate. When I was walking towards Lot 10, I suddenly remembered one of my college friends that I haven’t been in contact with in a while, and YES . The minute I stopped thinking, he literary WALKED PAST ME!!! OMG, I should have bought a lottery tat day, maybe I would’ve been the next millionaire lo.

Since my parents were going to have dinner nearby so we decided to have dinner together. Dad brought us to have buffet in Grand Millenium, Sucked max! Dont ever try their buffet, it’s horrible and it cost RM 110 per pax.

We were supposed to go up to Genting for a yam cha session with the rest, but everyone couldn’t make it besides the 3 of us so we decided to head home and postpone our Genting trip to another week.

  • Halloween Weekend

In case you missed my Halloween post click here.

So after a long and crazy night at Phuture, I woke up at around noon on Sunday and decided to have Chili’s for brunch. So Jo and I went over to Chili’s at BSC.

    Top- Mirror Fashion Gallery, Bangsar

    Pants- Topshop

    Flats- Taiwan

Polka dot hair tie – Taiwan

I curled my hair the night before and it turned out very nice the next day. By the way, I’m desperately in need of a damn curler! Any good brands out there, anyone ??

Chili’s always brings back memories of life back in the US.

    Jo and I

    My hung over face.

I bought this in Taiwan too, It comes in 2 different colors, white and pink. I couldn’t decide which color to get so I ended up buying both hehe.

    I had Caesar salad and

vege and beef soup, just like in the US

Jo had a bacon cheeseburger. He couldn’t stop complaining why the bacon is not crispy enough and why Msia doesn’t serve pork bacon!

We went grocery shopping after lunch.

Then went back to my place to get changed and rest for a bit cause we promised our lil boy to bring him out to play the night before.

Baby boy was so excited in the car! He couldn’t stop jumping or running around in the car.

Tried to take a picture with him but he just couldn’t stop moving around.

There you go, cant really see him cox it’s too dark.

“You can trust me I’m not blonde” baby T from Abercrombie & Fitch

baby boy met a few friends in the park.

We met up with Rae and Cheryl and their doggies

They brought along a bubble gun.

Bb Boy and I, sorry for my huge eye bags. I had too many drinks the night before.

Wawa with her funny looking face hahah.

That was how I spent my Halloween weekend, how about u? I love it when I can party really hard on a Saturday night and then stay in or relax on a Sunday. It’s just prefect for me to recharge my energy for Monday, booo to work hahaha.

  • “Balik Kampung” It’s time to say Goodbye

Finally, It’s time to pack up my things and leave. I have no idea what I should write about in this post and since it’s the last entry for my “Balik Kampung” series I might as well just throw in some pictures and captions.

Went back to uncle’s place and had a very yummy pineapple bun

Went to Mos Burger for lunch with sister cause parents were enjoying their high tea session with grandma. We tried something new; pork burger with rice instead of a bun. I was craving to have western food but ended up ordering the wrong thing and it turned out to be like having chinese in a fast food restaurant.

Taiwanese citizens are very into recycling. They even have to separate their straws, paper cups, wrappers and trays when disposing their food in fast food restaurants. Look how complicated it is, I was so gan cheong I might throw my paper cup into a wrong bin.

Went to walk around looking for a pink suitcase and wala I found it! Ended up I bought 2; a baby pink and a dark pink polka dot suitcase. Yup, it’s the one Audrey mentioned in her blog =D Here is the exact color of the suitcase in case u’re curious hehe.

Then we went to have mixed ice after dinner, my sis’s fav.

    Looks like cotton candy!

and Malaysia airlines meals sucks max! Hate it!

Well, I think thats pretty much about it for my “Balik Kampung” series. I hope you’ve liked them as they’re not like any other travel posts I’ve done.

It’s more about food food food and the company.

    Have a great day!

P/s: Jo and I are planning for a little getaway trip for our 5th anni. Im pretty excited about it. Hehe I cant wait till Dec!

  • Konapun Japanese Cooking Toy

Ever since I saw the Youtube video of this toy I have been searching up and down for it. I Googled it and found out that they are selling it on Ebay but it will cost me a bomb if Im really that desperate to get it from them, so I gave up.

One fine day when I was in Taiwan having dumplings, I mentioned this cute little cooking set to my uncle and he was like “Lets go hunt for it after this!” I was so surprised that he was actually willing to spend all his time with us looking for this cooking set that might not even exist in Taiwan.  So after lunch, we hopped into his car and off we went.

We went to the first mall and the salesgirls told us that they have seen this product a long time ago but they’ve already stopped producing them. I was so disappointed and thought that maybe we were too late.

Stopped by 2nd and 3rd malls. To be honest after the 2nd mall I have already given up but my uncle insisted to go to the 3rd and 4th so I just followed.

Well, I know god will always take care of those who show him how desperate or how much effort u’ve put into looking for something you really want. WALA, we found it in the 4th mall. It was the last set and it was also on sale!! *wink wink*

Konapun- It creates a variety of  Japanese food by using powder & water. All you need to do is to mix, stir and wait, isn’t it easy!

A few different packs of powders to make different types of food.

It’s not a big deal if you have no idea how to read japanese cox the instructions include pictures. It shows u step by step, how to cook all the dishes.

Waited for 15 minutes… and here is the end result for rice. It smells and looks like the real thing.

Done with Ketchup. We put it into a plastic bag so it’s easier for us to decorate.

After making ketchup, it was time to make omelets and fried eggs. We mixed the egg powder with a lil bit of water.

Poured the eggs into a tray and put it in our mini oven and waited for 15 minutes.

While waiting for it we cooked the omelet.

It was done right after 15 mins so we put in a little bit of rice and wrapped it.

We mixed the rice with a little bit of ketchup so it will “taste” better.

Then it’s time to make some tempura and chicken chop.

Personally I love making tempura, it’s fun and amazing. You can literary fry it in this mini kitchen!

A pot of  “oil” is more than enough to fry 2 tempuras and a chicken chop.

Throw all the tempura in it and wait for it to turn brown. It’s amazing that it actually sounds like you’re deep frying something.

When it floats on the surface of the oil u know it’s ready to be served.

    Ready to be served!

Don’t they look like a real dish!

Another very cool dish that we did. Fish egg Sushi!

    Sashimi

    Yummy!!!

Do you want one too?  Hehe I googled and found they are selling them in Ebay, check it out here . Now you can have your own lil cooking kitchen!

By the way, I got the Konapun kitchen set for RM100 because it was the last one and it was on sale. The original price was RM140.

besides tat we also bought 6 different refill packs for different dishes. We bought spaghetti, pudding, cakes, sushi, curry rice and ice cream.

It cost us a total of RM 250 for 6 packs; It’s around RM40 per pack.

I know we are a little bit crazy about this, my dad was like ” You spent almost RM300 for something that you cant eat or use or even keep?”

    Well, It’s just for fun!

  • “Balik Kampung” Day 3

This will be the shortest entry in my “Balik Kampung” entries. The night before, I slept at around 2.30am and the next day I had to wake up at 8.am, it was so torturing. My eyes could barely open when I was brushing my teeth. It made me feel like I was in some training camp back in School.

Anyway, after washing up I felt much better and awake so I went back to my room, put on make up, changed and got ready to go.

    Jie and I.

    We had lunch at Uehara.

    Super big and round table

    Us

Another family picture without gin , booooo.

    Picture with aunt and uncle.

Us, ah yi, and Uncle Frank

Fried Onion. I didnt know fried onion can be so delicious.

    very fresh Sashimi. *drool*

Taiwan beer! Can you believe I literally brought back 2 cartons.

Vege that they dont serve here in Msia, very crispy and juicy.

    Steamed eggs

    Sushi rolls

    Japanese style chicken chop

    Fried fish eggs.

Everyone besides me cause I was the photographer =(

    Tempura

Steak on stone, well cooked, juicy and tender yummmm *thumbs up*

Personally I dont like Miso soup but this tasted a little bit different, not bad.

Thats all for Day 3’s post because I was too lazy to take out my camera throughout the rest of day, Im so sorry. We went back to Aunt’s place and hung out, watched movies and chit chat. After that we went shopping with mum and all the girls but dad and uncle stayed home and took a nap.

After all I was there to visit my family so we didn’t do what tourists normally do but I’ve already been to most of the places more than twice. So, I think thats pretty much about it for day 3.
