  • Konapun Japanese Cooking Toy

Ever since I saw the Youtube video of this toy I have been searching up and down for it. I Googled it and found out that they are selling it on Ebay but it will cost me a bomb if Im really that desperate to get it from them, so I gave up.

One fine day when I was in Taiwan having dumplings, I mentioned this cute little cooking set to my uncle and he was like “Lets go hunt for it after this!” I was so surprised that he was actually willing to spend all his time with us looking for this cooking set that might not even exist in Taiwan.  So after lunch, we hopped into his car and off we went.

We went to the first mall and the salesgirls told us that they have seen this product a long time ago but they’ve already stopped producing them. I was so disappointed and thought that maybe we were too late.

Stopped by 2nd and 3rd malls. To be honest after the 2nd mall I have already given up but my uncle insisted to go to the 3rd and 4th so I just followed.

Well, I know god will always take care of those who show him how desperate or how much effort u’ve put into looking for something you really want. WALA, we found it in the 4th mall. It was the last set and it was also on sale!! *wink wink*

Konapun- It creates a variety of  Japanese food by using powder & water. All you need to do is to mix, stir and wait, isn’t it easy!

A few different packs of powders to make different types of food.

It’s not a big deal if you have no idea how to read japanese cox the instructions include pictures. It shows u step by step, how to cook all the dishes.

Waited for 15 minutes… and here is the end result for rice. It smells and looks like the real thing.

Done with Ketchup. We put it into a plastic bag so it’s easier for us to decorate.

After making ketchup, it was time to make omelets and fried eggs. We mixed the egg powder with a lil bit of water.

Poured the eggs into a tray and put it in our mini oven and waited for 15 minutes.

While waiting for it we cooked the omelet.

It was done right after 15 mins so we put in a little bit of rice and wrapped it.

We mixed the rice with a little bit of ketchup so it will “taste” better.

Then it’s time to make some tempura and chicken chop.

Personally I love making tempura, it’s fun and amazing. You can literary fry it in this mini kitchen!

A pot of  “oil” is more than enough to fry 2 tempuras and a chicken chop.

Throw all the tempura in it and wait for it to turn brown. It’s amazing that it actually sounds like you’re deep frying something.

When it floats on the surface of the oil u know it’s ready to be served.

    Ready to be served!

Don’t they look like a real dish!

Another very cool dish that we did. Fish egg Sushi!

    Sashimi

    Yummy!!!

Do you want one too?  Hehe I googled and found they are selling them in Ebay, check it out here . Now you can have your own lil cooking kitchen!

By the way, I got the Konapun kitchen set for RM100 because it was the last one and it was on sale. The original price was RM140.

besides tat we also bought 6 different refill packs for different dishes. We bought spaghetti, pudding, cakes, sushi, curry rice and ice cream.

It cost us a total of RM 250 for 6 packs; It’s around RM40 per pack.

I know we are a little bit crazy about this, my dad was like ” You spent almost RM300 for something that you cant eat or use or even keep?”

    Well, It’s just for fun!

  • Hennessy Artistry 2010

Instead of continuing blogging about my Taiwan trip, Im thinking I should mix it up with a post about something else, such as my long over due post about ” Hennessy Artistry 2010″.

Dan invited us to Artistry a long time ago but everyone ignored him, I don’t know why. I totally forgot about this event until I got home from Taiwan and Jo says “Tomorrow we’re going to Hennessy Artistry in The Mines.”. I was like, ” What? So last minute?? Why never discuss with me before tat?” After a very long discussion of who Dan invited and how many tickets he has, we decided to join them and  have fun.

Love their envelope. The embossed letters and the color give it a very classy look.

Thanks Dan for the VIP ticket.

With my girls…. It was nice meeting you all, we shall party more often!!

Free flow for the ViPs, yo! They served a few different flavors, my favorite was the Apple flavored mixture. Next time they should pour less mixer and more Hennessy so that I can really taste the Hennesy hehehe instead of apple.

View from the ViP lounge. Love the red lighting =D

We went up to the Vip lounge for a little while and got bored so we went back down and joined the group.

  • “Balik Kampung” Day 3

This will be the shortest entry in my “Balik Kampung” entries. The night before, I slept at around 2.30am and the next day I had to wake up at 8.am, it was so torturing. My eyes could barely open when I was brushing my teeth. It made me feel like I was in some training camp back in School.

Anyway, after washing up I felt much better and awake so I went back to my room, put on make up, changed and got ready to go.

    Jie and I.

    We had lunch at Uehara.

    Super big and round table

    Tempura

Steak on stone, well cooked, juicy and tender yummmm *thumbs up*

Personally I dont like Miso soup but this tasted a little bit different, not bad.

Thats all for Day 3’s post because I was too lazy to take out my camera throughout the rest of day, Im so sorry. We went back to Aunt’s place and hung out, watched movies and chit chat. After that we went shopping with mum and all the girls but dad and uncle stayed home and took a nap.

After all I was there to visit my family so we didn’t do what tourists normally do but I’ve already been to most of the places more than twice. So, I think thats pretty much about it for day 3.

  • Happy Halloween 2010

“BOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo” Happy Halloween you guys, wahaha.

How was everyone’s Halloween celebration? I’m too old for trick-or-treating so I headed to Phuture, Zouk, with friends and I had lots of fun. It was so packed and hot, on a few occasions, I had to stand under the aircon to stay alive. I was so surprised that people in Malaysia do dress up for Halloween. This was my first time celebrating Halloween without all the blondes and brunettes around. To be honest, I miss celebrating Halloween in the US, it seems different because no one will stare at you with a mouth full of maggie mee goreng when you’re walking into the restaurant /mamak in a costume. It’s different but I still like the fact that I get to dress up and be whoever I want for a night! Below are some pictures I took during the night.

Otw to Phuture with Jo =) I should learn to smile wider so I wont look too fierce. By the way, I’ve finally learned how to apply 2 layers of fake lashes, so proud of myself .

Reached there at around 11.15pm, met up with the rest at Maya Hotel.

JO didnt dress up but he kinda mentioned tat he was Gary Cao (曹格) for a night.

Walked in at around 11.20pm and it was already packed with people. Luckily Dan reserved a table for us if not we would have to wait outside for another hour or 2? Who knows!

    Sailor and Gary wannabe!

    Sailor Bo and Devil Mich

The girls! Surprisingly 4 of us dressed up as sailors but no one looks the same.

    Viv and I

Honestly, do I look like a sailor or a nurse to you? When I was walking to the restroom some random guys said, Hi and continued with a “Hey, where is the Dr?” or “Hey, Im sick.” or even “Hey, Nurse.” I turned to them and said, “Im not a nurse, Im a sailor.” and walked away. Too early to be drunk, so I guess I was really frustrated. Even my frens asked me Qs like “What r u ?”.

    Bumped into Dawn Yang.

    Sarah and I

    Me, Jo, and Joel

Sailor, policewoman, Play boy bunny and French maid

    Jeslin and her fren.

Finally, Bff came and she was the Queen of Hearts

    Isabella Kuan and I

The girl frens and the boy frens

    Bff, Ringo and I.

    bb, Me and Bff

The Sailors. I wonder who’s vertical hand was that, it’s kinda spooky.

    Taken inside the restroom.

I was so tired of standing in my high heels so I sat down with bff and camwhored.

Exhausted and my feet hurt like shit.

Then bff came and say y not we camwhore again. O yeah!

    Me and Vantene

Dato Daniel Tan with his lil mask and yes he had quite a few drinks prior.

Yupe, there goes my Halloween night.

  • “Balik Kampung” Day 1

    Hey guys! I’m back.

So sorry for the lack of updates, I’ve been very busy with my work and trying to take some days off from blogging. The only reason is because I was organizing all my pictures I took in Taiwan. Thanks for those who FormSpring-ed me and reminded me to write about my Taiwan trip. So right now, I’ll write about my day 1 in Taiwan.

Most of you might think that I went to Taiwan for a holiday but nope. I actually went back to visit my relatives which I’ve not seen in 2 years. Hehe I know most of you prefer to look at pictures rather than reading, and so do I. So I’ll just put up some pictures with captions.

So jie jie and I bought the normal tickets for AirAsia and my parents bought the premier seats. I regretted when I saw the premier seats in the flight. Jie jie was like nvm we’re young so these seats are fine for us. Half an hour later, she regretted. The reason was one of the kids in the plane was shouting and running around. For me, running around is fine for me cox if there is turbulence he will be the one who falls and hurts himself, not my problem. HE FUCKING SHOUTED IN THE FLIGHT! Imagine a boy shouting non-stop beside you when u’re trying to catch some sleep. OMG, those parents with kids like him please make sure that you feed your kids with some sleeping pills before you board the flight, he was so irritating. I was so pissed and I stared at his parents and shook my head real hard to show them my annoyance. You guys have the responsibility to teach him! For your information, he is around 7-8, old enough to learn what is right and wrong. The worse thing was the grandpa giving him candies to calm him down but guess what he turned into a monster. Kids cant handle the sugar level it will make him even more hyper. *shake head* *fainted*

Their seats are pretty comfy it’s way better than United Airlines =D

I was freezing because I was too smart, I chose to wear shorts instead. Thank god dad bought liquor and they gave out free jackets!

I was so comfy but I couldn’t fall asleep due to the stupid alarm running around beside me and jie jie.

Jie jie was so mean, she bought herself a sandwich and she teased me by saying what if they don’t serve nasi lemak??? 0.0

yes, they didn’t serve nasi lemak but nasi briyani. Aikssssss when can I try their nasi lemak? So frustrated!

After 4 hours and 25 minutes of being tortured by the kid, we finally arrived in Taipei, Taiwan

We took their airport shuttle from the airport to the train station. It was only 3 bucks, not tat bad.

Then we took the High-speed rail from Taoyuan to Tainan, our final destination. The price was RM115 per adult and I think it’s a little bit expensive.

    Waited for 15 minutes….

Jie and parents with all our luggages.

Me and my parents with the luggages hehehe

    Train arrived in high speed.

We spent 10 minutes arranging the luggages cause we had too many of them. So, we had to move ppl’s stuff around just to make sure they can see it and get it easily.

The interior is really clean, comfortable seats and a lots of space for your legs.

Jie and I spent the whole time playing games.

and eating snacks we bought on the train.

Took a picture with their vending machine inside the train.

They have the cleanest toilet on any other public transportation that I have ever travelled in.

After 1 hour and 15 mins, we were finally in Tainan. It was faster than I can ever imagin cause I know if we drive from Taoyuan to Tainan, it will take us 4 hours. Aunt picked us up from the terminal and off we went to makan!!!

My favorite apple soda of all time!

    悶豬肉steamed pork with spring onion

    Fried octopus ball

    Fish & glass noodle soup

    steamed crabs

I finally met grandpa (日本爺爺) and his manager who came all the way from Japan for a short visit. I was so happy when Grandpa says ” Bobo, You look like a Japanese.” That made my night, hahaha. A random taxi driver in the airport asked me if I was from SiChuan (四川)…fml

85*c they serve the best bubble tea in town! Love it

Got home at around 9pm, had a small little chocolate cake baked by my aunt and we called it the day.

    I was exhausted and dirty.

To be continued … till then.
