  • CLEANSUI (Japan) Healthy Mineral Drinking Water

I’m sure most of you are aware that Jo and I are currently in the middle of renovating our new place, and something important that we have decided very early on our project that was the water filtration and drinking water for our new home.

At our current place, my MIL is using a famous name-brand Reverse Osmosis (RO) water drinking system that has hot and cold drinking water. I didn’t really learn what was RO water until after a few years of drinking it, but I always felt that the water was weirdly very tasteless and “clean”. RO is actually a process of water filtration that removes chemicals and substances from water, and along with all the naturally occurring minerals that you find in fresh water.  In nature, fresh water contains minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium, which our body needs.

This is why, if you have every bought a bottle of mineral water vs drinking water at the convenience store, you will find the taste remarkably different!

Not only that, for these types of drinking water system, it is built into their contract where you are required to pay annually for servicing and changing of filters.

When it was our turn to choose a system for our home, I told Jo that we should consider a different system, which could provide clean, but yet healthy drinking water.

About a year ago, I was reading Cheesie’s blog and she did a post on CLEANSUI. I was very interested and eventually I contacted CLEANSUI for our new home. CLEANSUI is one of the leading names in water filtration in Japan, and have recently expanded to many other countries.

A CLEANSUI representative then invited us and Kampungboycitygal for a short demo and to view their range of products as we were both in the midst of planning our renovation and also very keen on their products.

  • Kayla’s BBG – Week 1 – 3

If you didn’t know, I have joined Celebrity Fitness for more than 8 months already and I try going to the gym at least 3-4 times a week. I usually go right after work because it’s a perfect place to release the stress I get from work.

A few of my friends and family members asked me why I need to go to the gym or diet since I’m already so slim. I might look slim but I’m actually quite fat and my body is seriously out of shape with all my bad eating habits. There is only one purpose of hitting the gym, it’s to tone up my body and maintain my ideal weight.

    photo

Joining the gym is fun because you get to workout with friends and each of you will motivate/support each other. It’s a good place to gather some positive energy haha. At first I tot it’s good enough to just hit the gym at least 4 times a week then it will work its magic on my body. I usually will attend classes like Fastfit, TRx and a lot of different cycling classes. My weight is still maintained and I dont really see any difference in my body besides being a little bit toner than before. The problem with this is that when you see how your body can change by just sweating and working out, you start to get addicted to it. I want to know how much better I can do and I want to see bigger changes in my body. I want abs and muscle definition on my hands and legs instead of flabby meat.

That’s when I started to realize eating habits and my diet plays the most important role. When I started going to the gym I tend to eat more because I keep thinking, “the reason to workout is to be able to enjoy more food”. This thinking is obviously wrong because you wont know how much calories you have consumed until you actually start to count it. You will have to burn more calories compared to what you had. Do you know to burn 1 medium french fries you will have to run for 49mins or cycle for 1 hour and 15 mins. So imagine nasi lemak or 1 burger meal from McD?  You will have to run or cycle for more than tat! OMG, if you go to the gym too then you should be able to understand how tiring it is to just eat a damn medium fries!

  • Oooo Abs…

Halo all, this is going to be a short update ya!!!

This week will be my 2nd week going to the gym, and so far so good! I’ve started to like going to the gym right after work because I get to de-stress!!

Thank god, I have Jo as my gym partner, he always makes sure that I push myself a little bit more each day! Sooner or later I will get to see the vest line on my abs edi !

This is for our Lang Tengah trip and for all the cropped tops!!!

C360_2014-04-06-21-26-16-568I’ve started doing planks since Sunday! It hurts like fuckkkckckck, i can only hold it for 25 seconds at most T____T I’m trying to achieve 45 seconds then 1 min!!

If you’re wondering, I just got myself a personal abs trainer, which is Shirley lol. She showed me her abs and vestline then I was like “U HAVE TO TRAIN ME!”

Her abs workout routine was torturing, I dont know how she manages to do side planks for 1 min … I can only last 15 seconds for side planks hahahhaa.

photo 1Besides training on my own, we also attend some classes like Fastfit, Floating Yoga and TRx! I prefer going to classes in Mid Valley because there’s more participants and you get to try a lot of things!

Another good thing about joining the gym is that, when there is no water supply at home, you can also shower in the gym LOL. I super love the shower room in Setia Walk, it’s freaking clean and empty hahahah, so you can walk around naked HEHEHEHEHE

Short update is short, so kthxbye!

  • My Heart Procedure Experience

I figured since I promised that I will share about my experience on the heart procedure in my SVT post, I shall keep my promise! (My previous post on SVT is here)

Most of you who have been following me on Dayre (@bobostephanie) should already know that I went for the heart procedure on the 2nd of Dec.

I would say it was one of the most memorable/unforgettable experiences in my life! The experience was all filled with pain and more pain hahha

I admit, my tolerance for pain is ZERO. I don’t dare to pierce my ears just because I’m scared of pain hahhaa. You should be able to tell how low my pain tolerance is.

So after my previous visit to my cardiologist I decided to just go ahead with the procedure! I hate eating pills, and they didn’t really help, but I truly hate the palpitations the most! My dr was like, “Ok, then when u want to do it? Next week?” I was like “Woo hold on, next week too soon! How about 2nd? He was like, “Booked”

I remember asking my Dr if he would put me to sleep? He says no cox if u’re asleep we cant detect the palpitations 0.0. I was like GONE…

After everything was booked, I was like, “Am I ready for this?” We’ll I guess so… I’m that type of person who only gets nervous at the last moment.

The day before the procedure, I couldn’t sleep and I was so afraid! I kept telling Jo maybe I should just cancel it and eat meds forever! Obviously I didn’t la!

The day came quickly, and the moment after I checked in, that’s when the reality hit me! I was lying in the bed and I was like ,”Im scared, scared scared!” I keep imaging how painful it will be and all! I checked in at 9am, then they delivered breakfast to my room. The nurse told me I have to start fasting at 10am! I finished up my breakfast and the staff nurse came in and started taking my blood pressure and drew some blood to test. That’s when I realized its not just a simple procedure like everyone said.

photo 1An hour later they gave me a new towel, shampoo and a hospital gown to change into. They told me I should shower and get ready at 12pm cox my procedure is at 2pm. I was told to use only the shampoo they provided which made my hair really, really dry and frizzy lol

  • I LOVE…Bubble Bath

Recently I’ve received a few questions on Formspring asking what kind of body lotion and bubble bath that I’m using. So, today I was like, hmm maybe I should blog about my home “spa” routine. It’s not really like a complete head to toe type spa but it’s a routine that I do every day.

I always make sure that I apply lotion before I go to bed because it will keep my skin moisturized throughout the night. Besides keeping my skin moist, the smell of the lotion is really important to me too. I love it when my skin smells like fruits hahahaha, it helps to relax my whole body.

I used to be very addicted into Bodyshop body lotions but I find it quite expensive for me to apply every day, so I stopped using them and have gone back to using normal ones ==”

I was lucky enough to receive an email the other day, asking me to review a range of beauty products from GLAMOGIRL.COM  If you haven’t heard about Glamogirl yet, they are a distributor that markets and distributes several ranges of beauty products, from skincare, makeup to baby care, to major retail channels in Singapore & Malaysia. They also do online shopping if you’re too lazy to step out of your house hahahah.

JWL_7308 My “I LOVE…” raspberry & blackberry bodycare from Glamogirl.com. Every night, Jo comments that I smell like a giant raspberry and it makes him hungry ==”
