  • I haven’t had time…

    to pack yet…

Thank god it’s finally Friday, the long awaited weekend is here.

I’m leaving the country for a short getaway tomorrow and will be back on Monday night.

This will be considered as our first getaway since coming back to Malaysia, the previous one was back in the States to Miami and New Orleans day 1, 2 and 3.

I’m a big fans of the beach. Sea, sand and of course bikinis!

OK, a little update on my current life.

Im currently working in Ecopalm, a very environmental friendly company.

I kinda like the working environment here because I get do a lot of designing work which is my favorite.

Nowadays it’s really hard to find a job that you’re really into.

I consider myself really lucky finding one.

Anyway, thats pretty much about it and I will update once I got back from my short trip.

  • MTV World Stage 2010

I tried my best to stare at their main page and prayed that I was lucky enough to get 2 free tickets to MTV World Stage, obviously I failed.

When I was about to give up Jo found a buyer who was willing to sell us 2 tickets for Rm150, it wasn’t that bad cause I found someone who was selling them for 200 for 2 tickets earlier.

So, MTV World Stage here I come! (pls pls ignore my nails, I had no time to remove those cacat nail polish )

Our plan was to have lunch in Puchong and we decided on Curry Mee. This is so far the best Curry noodles I had in KL, I have tried the one in Penang it’s kinda similar to this.

We ordered Fried Fu Zhou too… Loved it, it’s really crispy!

Right after lunch, we headed to Sunway Lagoon at 3pm and hoped that the line was not too long.

I finally got the chance to wear my floral rings from F21, it matched my outfit of the day.

When we got there I was so shocked that it wasn’t just a normal  line, the line was crazy long.

The weather was super sunny and super duper hot.

At first I was quite excited cause it was my first concert in Sunway lagoon.

…then I got tired plus I was sweating like a mad pig so I showed my grumpy face. I also started asking Jo why the organizer never thought of setting up a tent or fans for us!!

Thank god I bought a bottle water when we stopped by at the petrol station for gas.

Mosquito repellent is a must-have-thingy in my bag no matter where I go.

While we were queuing, there was this girl selling glow sticks. I turned to Jo and said

    Bo : ” I think I NEED that!”

Jo: ” No Bo I dont think so.”

Bo:” I dont care Im getting it.”

After “discussing” with Jo, I turned around and walked towards the girl and asked for the price. Before that Jo said :” Dont get it if it’s more than 10 bucks.”

    but….

    Bo:” Hi, How much issit?”

    Girl:” 15bucks.”

    Bo:”… 10 can?”

Girl:” No le, my boss says cant wor…”

Bo:” OK 15 then, give me pink pls.”

Happily walked to Jo and said I got it for 15 bucks.

    Jo:”….”

After 3 hours of standing we finally moved forward towards the entrance. Personally, I really think that Malaysians should learn to QUEUE UP! Well, the organizer should have just set up a single, weaving line up to force them to line up! It was so stupid that there was no line  and everyone was just pushing people in front in front of them and hoping to get in earlier, it doesn’t work that way assholes. Everyone started to jump the queue and there was this teenage girl who kept pushing me, I was damn pissed and I shouted at her saying MOVE MOVE by pointing at the empty space in front of me. I was trying to ask her to move in front of me since she die die also want to go to the front. Whoever you were, learn to queue up!

Right after we passed by the first entrance, there was this mini stage set up for local bands to entertain those who were in the line. They were the worst performers I have ever seen, I dont know what the hell were they singing. They were shouting like no body’s business, super annoying and I considered it as sound pollution!

They gave out raincoats and …

    a fan.

The minute we got there it started to rain …

Luckily they gave out rain coats if not I would have just went home and watched it on youtube or something.

Bff got there at around 6.30pm and it was pouring. We were forced to hide inside a shelter and prayed for the rain to stop.

The design of the rain coat was really cute, it had a tie on it.

We realized that the rain might never stop so we decided to just go to the front and enjoy the concert in the rain.

The rain stopped for a little while and then it rained again, I didn’t really get full use of my glow stick cox the rain was too heavy and I was the only one holding the glow stick. It was kinda embarrassing.

I enjoyed watching Wondergirls performance and I realized most of their outfits are from American Apparel. After their performance I got so tired and I wanted to sit down real bad. So Jo and I decided to just walk to the back and find an empty space to sit down and rest for a little while.

I was so tired and the stupid rain never stopped! I was all wet and dirty… I hate the feeling, yucks!

    Pants- Abecrombie and Fitch

    Slipper- F21

    Bag- Marc Jacobs

I believe the concert would’ve been prefect if it wasn’t raining or had any technical problems in the middle of the concert. We had to wait an hour just to see Tokio Hotel and I heard from bff that they had to wait another hour for Katy Perry. I left early right after Tokio Hotel’s performed at 11.30pm ’cause I was starving and I was so tired of waiting, as you all know I have been standing since 3pm, more than 8 hours… omg! I gave up on waiting for Katy Perry’s performance even though she was one of the reasons why I insisted of going to MTV World Stage.

As a conclusion, I will never ever go to any free seating concert ever again… My worst nightmare =(

  • Dinner at Zanmai

I realized I always blog about my weekends and not weekdays, but what can I do, work life sucks…Yes, BIG TIME!

So those who are working must know how the end of the month are the happiest days cox it’s when we receive our paychecks.

Right after work I walked to The Gardens and waited for Jo to have dinner.

We decided on Japanese food because I finally got my first paycheck.

The minute I got there, there was already a long queue.

The gave us menus while queuing so we got to order our food before getting a seat to save time !

After 15 minutes of waiting, we were finally brought to our mini table.

Since we already ordered our food while queuing, all we had to do was just wait.

This was also my last day of work, for those who don’t know, yea I quit. I love the working environment but not the job scope, it’s not what I want. My sweet colleagues gave me this present as my goodbye present. The picture frame is full of meaning, for example the cats represent our miao miao gang, the small cactus represents our future Cameron Highlands trip, the ice creams represent how we love snacks and last but not least, the piggy represents our Bah Kut Teh Nights! Thank you guys!

  • Mum’s birthday celebration

Last weekend was mum’s birthday weekend so my parents came up to Kl to spent 2 nights in Shangri- La and have dinner with my sister.

I got out from work early and headed down to KL to meet up with them and have an early dinner.

I reached our hotel room at around 4pm and then we headed off to have an early dinner in Pavilion.

Dad says he loves what I wore that day hehe, this will be the first time my dad praised my outfit!

    Beef & radish soup

Then we went back to our room to rest after half day of shopping.

The next day, we woke up early to have breakfast in the cafe and then went off to Pavilion again to meet up with my sister and have dinner at Angus Steak; its currently my favorite steak house in KL. I forgot to take pictures during dinner cause I was too hungry.

On Sunday morning, we had dim sum at Shang Palace.

The main entrance of the restaurant.

and personally I love this nine dragons frame.

  • ♥♥ Day out with loved ones

I am super hardworking right, I’ve posted 3 entries in one day!!! I still can’t believe it ….

    *****

After having brunch with Jo, I headed back home to change and headed off to Pavilion to meet up with my parents.

I love shopping in Pavilion especially with my mum; I get to buy whatever I want and she will do the rest and by the rest I mean paying. *devilish laugh*

Zara was having a sale so we spent most of our time there and I spent 1k buying only 2 blazers, 2tops, 2 skirts and a cardigan. I believe I can get a lot more items if I was in the States. Everything is so expensive here even though they’re on sale.

After few hours of walking around in Pavilion, my sister met up with us and then we headed back to the hotel for dinner.

My sis acted busy in the very nice elevator.

    My outfit of the night

    Blazer- Urban Outfitters

    Dress – Sg Wang

    Flap – Zara

    Bag – Chanel

Got back to our room and changed.

I got a little time to camwhore in the toilet. The lighting in the hotel toilets are always prefect for pictures.

We had dinner at Zipangu a Japanese restaurant in Shangri-La.

    The interior of the restaurant.

I ordered their Tempura bento set which included

    Appetizers

    Salad

    Chawanmushi- Japanese steamed egg custard

    A very yummy goose liver

    Finally, my main course Tempura.

with a bowl of Japanese rice. I loved their rice and it tasted different from any other Japanese restaurant.

    Dad ordered Teriyaki Chicken.

Sis’s ( totally cant remember what was it)

Mum’s all time favorite California roll.

    We also ordered Salmon Sashimi.

Last but not least green tea ice cream with red bean custard.

I had so much delicious food in one day and it isn’t good for my diet. I have decided to go on diet just to look perfect for Phuket in Aug.

So from today onwards there will be no more food posts till I get to my desired weight.

I guess that’s pretty much about it, loves!
