Banana Leaf & Kebab

Continued from the previous post…

The next day was seriously, “The Hangover Day”. Everyone of us were exhausted and were still feeling the affects of the alcohol. We had to wake up at around 9am to pack, get ready, and check out. It was very torturing indeed.

The itinerary for the second day was to bring the foreigners to try our local food; I decided on Banana Leaf (it’s my all time favorite!).

Top: Topshop
Vest: Topshop
Skirt: Miss Selfridge
Shoes: Taiwan
Bag: Balenciaga

The couple – Ben (Hong Kong) and Wawa (Beijing)

My twin and Nelson (Australia)

Wawa was so in love with Malaysia that she asked my mum whether she needed one more daugther.

Iva (Taiwan) and my Jie Jie

Enjoying their banana leaf!

Please pardon Jo, he was really sick and had no mood to take a picture with me =(

After lunch, everyone agreed that we should head back and get some rest. Everyone fell asleep and woke up when it was time for dinner! Jie suggested this place in Solaris Dutamas, a restaurant that served Middle Eastern cuisine (totally forgot the name of the restaurant).

We tried their non-alcoholic beer.

I’m always the photographer when Jo is not with me. No one wants to take picture for me ='(

We ordered 3 different flavors of shisha.

Jie loved it so much but I hated it!

I had their Lamb Chop, it was pretty good!

It was Iva’s birthday! Happy Birthday, hun!

Notice the girl behind our pic?? They are the rudest people I have ever met!

Long story short, the girl dared her friend (one chinese looking guy with an accent) to ask for Iva’s phone number. You must be wondering how I knew, hahaha. I was sitting super close to them and I heard the girl saying, “No, this one * pointing at Iva* the one in black, GO!” Just to clarify, before this incident I didn’t really care about those ABC wannabes in Malaysia. To me, if you feel that you’re too good to be a Malaysian then why not get the f*ck of this country. We dont need citizens like you, its such a shame.

So, the guy stood up and walked over to Iva….

ABC: “O sorry, can I please have your number.” (don’t forget to add in an accent when you read this sentence)

Iva freaked out and stared at me and my Jie.

Me: “Ignore him, he is acting stupid.” (in mandarin)

ABC: “O, Im sorry if you mind, I can give u my number.”

The girls at his table started laughing damn loud, they were literally LOL-ing!

Me: “Just ignore him.”

Iva was pretty scared by then.

My Jie: “Excuse me, do you know it’s really inappropriate to do this.”

ABC:  “Ooo Im sorry.”  *laughed like he was on drugs or something and walked away*

When he got back to his table the whole table LOL-ed and starting joking about it.

I WAS DAMN FUCKING PISSED!!!!!

Dont get me wrong, I was pissed not because of him not asking for my number ==” I was pissed cause the group of ABC wannabes thought that it was funny. Making fun of people in public is really fun for them? Do they even have brains or are they educated??? Gosh…

Ok, Im not trying to stereotype or watever but so far those ABCs that I’ve met in my life are pretty rude and ignorant.

What do you think? Issit just me or do you guys think so too?

Im so sorry if you’re a kind hearted ABC and if you’re reading this post. I’m stereotyping ABCs because I’ve haven’t met you yet…. So sorry ==”

Well, thats it for what I did last weekend!

I really dislike M’sians who love to have that deep accent. Just shove them off by saying politely, ‘I’m sorry we don’t understand you, we’re Malaysians. Not some mat sallehs so quit the accent. We’re not impressed’. 🙂 And the whole asking for number dare was so lame! He left and laughed. Laughing at himself for being an idiot, maybe. If I were Iva, I would have been ‘Are you talking to me?’ lol.

Anyway, I don’t think you’re stereotyping ABCs. Those were obviously just ABC wannabes. You can sense real ABCs.

p/s: Banana Leaf is good! 😀

Honestly, it’s the WANNABE ABC “angmohs” who are rude hence the generalisation. They think they’ve become “atas” the moment they study overseas and forget their roots. I myself am studying abroad and I’m not afraid to say that I’m still proud of my heritage.
