Taipei Walkers- Day 1

Like I’ve mentioned in my previous post, I spent my CNY back in Taiwan.

I have been to Taiwan more than 15 times since I was born but do you believe that I have only been to Taipei once!

That’s when I was 13 years old and I could barely remember how Xi Meng Ding looked like.

So, this year, 3 of us decided to spend 3 days in Taipei just to go shopping, hanging out with friends, and of course, EAT!

The day after we landed, we sent our parents off at the high speed train station then we headed off to Ban Qiao to meet up Dudu (Gin’s uni friend).

Family picture at the hotel lobby.

I insisted to take a picture of the three of us while waiting for the train cause it’s the first time we are traveling together!!

A picture of me with my pink luggage!

The waiting line hahah

Dudu is so sweet, she bought each of us a limited edition Metro card so we wont have to keep buying train tickets!

First thing we did was filling up our empty stomachs. She brought us to her favorite breakfast place called Cafe Cafe 樂子咖啡 (信義區基隆路一段147巷5弄2號, Taipei, Taiwan)

They serve very delicious Western style breakfast; the portions were as big as the ones I had in the States! It was super delicious, especially their homemade butter…

The thing I miss the most is their milk tea! It tasted totally different from the ones we have in Chatime! I always says nothing beats original Taiwanese milk tea!

Us with dudu.

After that, we went to Wu Fen Pu (五分埔) for a little shopping spree! I was quite amazed that the shop layout looks like Chatuchak in Bkk, but the weather did not!

Jie Jie looking like a shopaholic here.

The clothes that they are selling are quite cheap. You can easily find a cute top for only RM29-35. I realized that the stuff they sell are more towards Japanese or Korean style, and as for Bkk they are more to European looks.

Jie and I.

Gin snapped a picture of me looking at some cute tops.

Got really thirsty so we got ourselves a cup of milk tea from a random store and I turned to Gin and said, ” 隨便一間奶茶都那麼好喝!” (Any one of them are good!)

Bought quail eggs for a snack.

Gin’s fav 豬血糕 (pig’s blood cake, so sorry I’ve no idea what its called in English) It’s made of pig’s blood and rice!

My super favorite, it’s called green onion pancake (葱油饼) aka Taiwan’s roti canai!

The reason why I like it is because I LOVE green onion and flour! Hehe it’s a combination of both!!!

Dudu actually made a reservation 1 month ago just to make sure that it’s not fully booked by the time we got there ==”

The booth is too cute!! The menus too!

The cute menu and a cute case that I got for RM10 ==” I think I saw it selling in M’sia for RM59!!

I insisted to take a pic alone so you can only see my sis’ butt ==’

Took a picture with the waitress!

The three of them were forced to come because they just dont like pink and Kitty ==”

Super cute mug!

It looks cute but it tastes weird!

You need to order a min of RM30. We spent a total of RM130 on food but we didnt eat any of them because they’re just nyek…

I love the pink and black couch!

Picture taken in Xi Men Ding!

Tried our luck by playing this lottery thingy! I spent Rm50 on it but didnt get anything in return because my luck just SUCKS. My sisters won RM50 just spending RM10 buying the ticket! FML

Then went to this Japanese BBQ place for dinner!

Jie, me, Gin and Dudu

One of the dishes that we ordered was grilled Rice Ball!!!

Bacon wrapped asparagus! Yummmm

These were just some of our dishes ==’ I miss the rice ball edi!!

We went home after dinner because everyone was exhausted and it started to rain! The weather in Taipei was such a bitch!

This was what we did on our first day in Taipei.

To be continued…
